    Seriously. Do you like One Direction? Or do you only like their looks? I need to know this because I am seriously confused. I never hear someone say, "Omigod, the music is SO. GOOD!" It's always "Omigod, Zayn is SO. CUTE!"

    So do you like One Direction for their music, looks, or both?(And please don't go fan girl on me.)
     
    I can't say I like them or dislike them. I'm a brit and when they were on The X Factor, they were alright, I suppose. I think what annoys me about them and much like what annoys me about Justin Bieber is the hysteria that surround such average joes. That's my personal feelings about them and it's not malicious or anything but they simply seem undeserving of the success they've had with quite terribly made music. I mean, I've heard their songs (it's hard to when you have a little sister who is obsessed with them and also the fact that they're plastered everywhere) and it's generic Simon Cowell music. It's not to say that they're not catchy because they are but they're just not talented in my opinion. Anyone can sing lyrics handed to them on a beat given to them but I enjoy listening to artist who have real talent and have written their own songs and have that connect with their music. I really do gravitate and feel more connected to artist who write their own material and produce their own sound.

    All in all, I wish them well with their success. They are good people and they have been blessed with the biggest luck ever. I suggest they enjoy it until they're forgotten in 5 years or so.
     
    I dislike them for two reasons:

    1. For what they stand for
    2. For how they sound

    First off, I don't like this type of music. Simple, down to my personal tastes and won't be discussed on either way.
    The main point and what I mean by point 1, is they stand for an music industry that is, more so, based on how attractive you are; sex sells, as they say.

    There has always been a element of it in music, it is standard and comes with the territory and the industry, but it has gone one step too far now as it is mainly, little teenage girls fan girling over these boys.​

    Me, I recently started listening to them . . . and I can't stop now '-'
    I love their look and their music, though. It's just so catchy. They've definitely crept up on me.
    I drive around town blasting their music all the time, now.

    My favorite track from Up All Night is probably I Want. ;-;

    I don't really care for them. I change the channel when their music comes on the radio. ;( However from what I have heard, it's a nice change of pace to hear a song about how a girl is beautiful instead of "GURL U SEXY" "TURN ME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN" "thnk abut it wen u tuch me ther ;) ;) ;)" and all that crap. So I commend them for that, but eh, not my thing.
     
    "What Makes You Beautiful" is the only song I've listened from them so far. They all have beautiful voices imo, but honestly I won't grow to become a huuuuuge fan of them in the future.
     
    Ive never actually listened to their music, but I DO know they're all super adorable and most are around my age. Hit me up boys. ;D

    I did see them on iCarly, but their acting was so bad ichanged the channel before I got to hear them sing. So as of now, I like them for their look, and their accent is hot. <3

    I want to like them, I really do. They are such cute guys (I'm 21 and I think they're hot. Shut up) and I really think I could go for a six-some with them.

    But then I hear "What Makes You Beautiful" and it is the most obnoxiously irritating song I have ever had to listen to... and then rather than making me happy with mental images they make me want to die.

    For all I know their other songs are amazing though, but God just that one song. It makes me Super-Saiyan angry. That's hella angry.
     
    I liked their music since the end of 2010/start of 2011 before they got famous here and i used to like What Makes You Beautiful but i hate it now
     
    My little sister listen to them.
    But honestly I can't stand them but favorite tv station is pushing them on me with all the camos on some of my favorite shows. I really don't like their sound of music. I grew out of the boy band thing a long time ago.
     
    I quite like them. They aren't who I'd listen to when I go searching for something to listen to, but if I'm listening to my library on shuffle, and a song of theirs comes on, I won't skip it and would probably enjoy listening to the song. Sometimes, a nice catchy pop song is something that everyone needs!
     
    I like their music, they look okay BUT I'm not a fan of the fans. Like Justin Bieber, the fans are crazy. So... yeah. Other than that they're okay I guess.

    Totally agreed Nica.

    The music - great. The fans - total no-no.

    And don't expect me attending any One Direction gigs. I don't want to be stampeded on by screaming girls.
     
    My sistel listens to this, and puts the volume higher than my speakers can go with my music...

    And i dont like their music at all... its just not my style and they sound horrible (srry its just my opinion...)

    But seriously I'm 10. I don't lile them for their looks. I like them for their songs, like 'One Thing', 'What makes you beautiful', 'I Want' and 'Up all night'. I know people would like them for their looks.

    Also I know many people who hate them. Its like Justin Bieber. Most people hate him. You either hate them or like them (AND MOST PEOPLE HATE JB) lol
     
    I'm a bit less than neutral for them. I've only heard 'That's what makes you beautiful' and I don't enjoy the lyrics that much but it is a catchy tune. If it happens to be on the radio I wouldn't go out of my way to change the station but I would never choose to listen to it.

    The DJ at my school ball played the song and at the start of it everyone thought it was 'Summer Nights' from Grease and yes we were all disappointed when it wasn't.
     
    I really don't like them much, it's not my style. They just seem like every generic boy-band to me. I'm just not into that kind of music.
