There are more than enough roles this may be countered. Otherwise, I would like to hear from the townie who tried to hit gimmepie?
 
The escort is the very definition of a defensive mafia role.
 
isn't escort more of a roleblocker unless i'm reading the flavor text wrong bc i don't know the escort role in em. that said though i find it hard to really see gimme being hit by multiple things bc there's not that many roles that hit someone as far as im concerned.

[vote] l'belle bc with his lack of questioning to gimmepie's statement i want to see how he flips and we'll have something to go on from there. there are two roles that prevent something from happening but if he was hit multiple times he fails to be one and obviously fails to be the other if no one was killed via trying to kill him.

Yeah I think Escort is supposed to be a roleblocker but it's not completely clear. If so it's not really a defensive mafia role unless they know exactly who to target. It's not that surprising to me that GP would be targeted by multiple actions on N0, and considering he was probably silenced D1, that makes sense to me.
 
I think's it's a little difficult to just straight up lie all that up, and I've been getting a town vibe from him anyway. I have no reason to not trust him. I find the votes of you 2 very unreasonable. Just think about it.
