    POKÈMON: PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS!​

    SETTING!​

    Out there in the streets of a mysterious unnamed city in 199X are far from normal. Riddled with mysteries from petty theft to suspicious disappearances no night is always the same. When anything could happen, PPI's detectives are ready to dust off magnifying glass and notepad and put the pieces together to solve the cases put before them and bring troublemakers to justice.

    The Pokèmon Private Investigators (PPI for short) detective agency was founded in early years of city's existence and always busy with mountain of cases to solve every night. PPI HQ is small brick 2 story house in east of the city. 1st story has open plan offices with lots of Pokèmon of all shapes and sizes running around with folders and papers of cases and evidence. 2nd story has all closed offices with carefully selected teams of determined Pokèmon to train to join the ranks as veteran detectives at PPI.

    Here is Aura's as example

    Name: Aura
    Pronouns: She/Her
    Pokèmon: Froslass
    Appearance: Aura wears a white shirt with a black suit that has no sleeves. She also wears a dark red scarf hidden in her outfit as a tie.
    Personality: Aura always had strong sense of curiosity as a young Snorunt she is fascinated in wanting to know all about how the world she lives on works. She takes her role as mentor and deputy president of the PPI very seriously and and is hesitant to agree to risky missions. While she can be harsh with her words and take time to warm up to her colleagues she is willing to do anything it takes to help her friends.

    Oh and ask questions too if needed!

    Pronouns: He/Him
    Pokèmon: Spidops (shiny)
    Appearance: Lucas wears a fluffy grey scarf, and when he's really in the investigating move, he'll wear a monocle!
    Personality: Lucas is a well mannered gentleman, but will get very serious whenever there he's on the trail of an evil doer. He also gets along with pretty much everybody, as he is very polite.

    Since it seems like my other 2 RPs are on indefinite hiatus, I suppose I can be here for the starting case as well. I do have a question first, though. I don't remember if this is meant to take place in a PMD style world where there are no humans, or if this is meant to take place in the general Pokemon world where humans exist.
    In the event it's like the PMD world, do you have any issue with a character who was brought there from the human inhabited version by a Pokemon like Hoopa or Palkia?

    The thing in his pocket is a packet of mints
    Personality: Chase can be very brash, impulsive, and arrogant due to his past jobs, he believes that he can do almost everything on his own and refusing even the simplest of help. He has a tendency to focus on certain topics which can lead to a more obsessive nature when working on certain cases. Although rare, at times he can be highly perceptive and intelligent.
     
    Since I have four other PC RP on undefinite hold, I have time for this one! ^^

    Pokémon : Gardevoir

    Personality : Jolly. Her upbeat and happy-go-lucky demeanour had some question her ability to be a serious investigator, but there might be more than meets the eye.
    She always carries a pack of Lava Cookies on her, because, as she says :
    "We work better with a full belly!"
     
    Name: Bill
    Pronouns: He/Him
    Pokèmon: Snorlax
    Appearance: Bill is a typical snorlax. Large and somewhat imposing. He always shows up to work in his beige trench coat and fedora. Popping them on the coat & hat stand near the door we see him in his shirt and tie with suspenders linked to his slate coloured trousers.
    His trench coat is very peculiar as it contains many, many internal pockets. This is where Bill stores all manner of things, from his berries (each berry a different pocket), notepad, pens, business cards, he's got it all!
    Personality: Despite his ferocious appearance on account of his size, Bill is really a big softy. He loves his job, mainly for the social aspect, and going out with the team to solve cases. The confronting of criminals is his least favourite part of the job, all that shouting and running! Somewhat atypical for a Snorlax however, he cares deeply for his appearance and always keeps up with the latest detective fashion trends. Outside of work he likes to visit the fashion museum nearby.

    Kinda both? World is not PMD world 'cause humans did exist and Pokè Mart and Pokè Center exist all humans mysteriously disappeared 1 day (future case to solve) when Pokèmon's dislike of trainers got louder

    So doing human detective not work well sadly.

    Pokemon: Krookodile
    Appearance: Always wears a suit and tie with khaki pants when in public (including the beach, which he rarely visits due to being a Ground type).
    Personality: Somewhat of a shady character, grew up on the streets and engaged in some... questionable business to get by. Still maintains underworld connections but cleaned up his act and decided to become an investigator after his Herba Mystica ring got busted. Is very perceptive, especially at detecting whether people are lying or not (comes with the whole running a smuggling ring thing) but often reacts too aggressively to situations and has a habit of unnecessarily escalating things.

    That's fine, I wasn't looking to become a human detective anyway, just curious to know if another character I have that I'd like to use for this would make sense 'as is' or if I'd have to come up with a reason he's in this world with the others. I'm... Just not really good at doing 'one shot' characters I suppose lol.

    I'd like to mention that the light-grey background with the white and lighter colored text in the top post CSS is very hard to read, so you might want to adjust something a bit for anyone new looking into the thread.

    Gah! Forgot Johto Elite style does white text fixed now still need to fix setting text too later. i stink at CSS if not yet obvious

    Now i think about it more i overlooked 4 legged Pokèmon big time did not think 'bout items much

    Like said before mostly 2 legged NPCs in 1st case for now will see how 1st case goes gonna be bumpy anyway 'till small details ironed out.

    Personality: He is somewhat on the quiet side, more often observing things or lost in thought to be caught up in chats with others. But when he does decide to speak, he's always very friendly, if a bit 'far away'. When asked why he wanted to join the PPI, he responded by saying "I am in the middle of searching for something very important, but when my travels brought me here, I noticed all of the issues plaguing this city, and simply could not ignore the call for aid. It is, what he would have wanted, I think..."

    Pokèmon: Walrein
    Appearance: Wears a fedora and an emerald green necktie. He'll sometimes wax his moustache for formal events or if he's feeling particularly fancy.
    Personality: Walton has a lax demeanor and manner of speaking that can sometimes be deceptive, as he cares deeply about his job. Prior to joining the PPI he used to be a member of the city's jazz scene, but decided to become a detective after learning about the struggles some of his fellow musicians were facing. Likes to visit the local jazz club when he's off of work.
