ORAS Trainer AI Question

Hi all - working on a new chapter of my ORAS blind and deaf series. I have a basic trainer AI question that I can't seem to find an answer to online.

If my Pokemon is already paralyzed and the enemy Pokemon has various moves to use, will it ever choose to use Stun Spore?

For context, this is the Rival 2 fight. I imagine the rival might have better AI than other trainers.

    Thank you!!

Cannot say for certain. Found little documentation on trainer AI. Watched Rival 2's Shroomish for a few turns, though.

    (Against Beautifly)
    Turn 1: Stun Spore
    Turn 2: Mega Drain
    Turn 3: Leech Seed
    Turn 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8: Headbutt
Turn 9: (Player switch to Dewott) Headbutt
Turn 10: Stun Spore. (Coincidentally triggered Effect Spore before Shroomish acted, which was paralysis.)
    Turn 11: Mega Drain

Never attempted to reapply Stun Spore or Leech Seed if it was already up at the start of the turn. Indicates they will probably never go for Stun Spore if the opponent is paralyzed.

Thanks Devalue, as always. This was more-or-less what I found too. I think this seals the deal and Pokemon ORAS should be solved games :)

As far as I know, Pokémon games use two types of AI.

There's the AI that just uses moves randomly, and the "expert" AI which should never do something like trying to Paralyze and already paralized Pokémon. Trainers considered strong or important normally use expert AI, with a few exceptions like the first rival battle.
