Osama Bin Laden, Al-Qaeda mastermind, killed in Pakistan

Ouch, was his family killed as well? I could swear I heard something like that on CNN

Maybe your thinking of Moammar Gadhafi family? Since his son was killed earlier this week.

I'm thinking the reports, especially since they're of contradicting evidence, are best to be taken lightly until the official reports come out.

Finally...as a New Yorker who was remembered that event a little more than 10 years ago, all I can say is...
USA!USA!USA!
(Personally, I feel Obama did something big that Bush couldn't do in his eight years as President, and it fells soooooo goooooood!)

Part of me is kind of surprised one of these didn't get him before all of this happened. They are pretty common where he was. It's a camel spider. My Arachnophobia is more than justified.

Is anyone else waiting for the stream to start?

I was talking to my boyfriend about this, and I'm not sure what to think or how to feel about this.

"Killing people is bad. To teach you that killing people is bad, we're going to kill you. Not saying the world was a better place with Osama in it -- but it feels a little ironic to celebrate death when this is probably exactly how the Taliban reacted when the World Trade Center went down."

"This is a solemn occasion, on which we can be comforted that we have prevented future tragedies Osama bin Laden might author - but the fact is a man has been killed, and no matter his crimes, that is not a cause for celebration."

Obama was the one that shot him? Or did anything more then Bush did in to try and apprehend him?

It's 4:30 in the morning here and I'm still waiting up to hear this speech! :P

An eye for an eye only when the eyes converge in anger.

I have mixed feelings about this. I don't think we should be killing anybody. It's wrong. Maybe he deserved it, though.

I have to admit that this is one of the few times that I've felt respect for President Obama, though. Well done!

U.S Military cooperating with Pakistani soldiers. That's like saying Roosevelt wasn't a crucial part in World War 2 cause he died before it's ultimate end and Truman was too receive all the credit cause he was there at the end of the day. If there should be any praise it shouldn't go to one man it should go to the soldiers out there fighting.

Even if he was captured I can't help but think he would be sentenced to death. Especially if tried in a U.S. court.

So...I take it no one wants to go to the funeral to offer their respects? Anyone have any last, kind words to say? No? Alright.

Well, there is one thing I'd like to say. But first, define kind.

Yeah, there was really no other way of going about this than to kill him.

I keep thinking though, imagine those first few moments of silence after he was killed. That only the people in that room knew about what had happened, before it all spread like wildfire...

I move that Pokecommunity gets a Like button.

inb4 conspiracy theorists saying that Bush killed him seven years ago and Obama just wanted the credit. XD

My negative opinion of the Obama administration aside, Osama bin Laden is a monster that needed to be erased from this world. One less extremist to worry about. :D
