    Well it looks like the backup process from last night was enough to crash the server. So, OK I get it running again and BAM 2 MySQL tables (important and LARGE ones for PC) end up crashing.. great.. tried to repair them 3 times but they just wouldn't repair.. even with the webserver shut down.

    So.. bottom line is we used the backup from lastnight and reloaded the database (it ended being faster then trying to repair the crashed tables.. who knew). If you posted anything between the time the backup ran (approx 2am PST) and now, you'll need to repost it (or at least you'll know where it went)

    Hopefully, that is all for a while.
     
    Glad to see that everything is okay with PC. I've been trying to get on all day, and earlier I saw that it was up for a couple of minutes, but it promptly crashed again. I was starting to get a little worried. :P
     
    Oh, it crashed. :(

    I was wondering I couldn't get on for the past couple of ours.
    I just thought my computer was hatin' on my. D:
     
    I can understand your pain Steve, just trying to fix a small forum is hell.

    Oh my gosh I was so worried! o.O I'm glad to see we're okay. I hope the problem is remedied soon.

    At least the site is back up now, because it was down almost all of yesterday.

    I guess that was a good thing though, it got me to do some other things I needed to get done.
     
    Great work, as usual, Rukario. Those database backups ended up being useful for you. I wonder if you know the reason why the database crashed. Was is because of the original backup process?
     
    thx 4 savein us again ^__^ (although i recommend makein 5...7 back up files incase it doez happen again, ya never kno!)

    its the orignal back up prosses tht did it, but thx 4 savein us (again)
     
    thx for fixing it i was pming someone and all of a sudden it says database error.
     
    apparently when the backup runs, it takes all the available resources and things start domino-ing from there.. It usually recovers but this time it didn't.. at some point it most likely was trying to write a (post) query or some such when the rest of the server said nowai and died thus corrupting the db table.

    I really wish the back up process was a LOT saner and less intensive but it is what it is until its changed.
     
    Ahh I see. Chrome was complaining that the website couldn't be found period. At first I got the whole error about watching Videos and stuff. But yeah.

    Yeah it was a bit of a pain as I was attempting to get into and or sign up for role plays and the like, you know before everyone else takes a spot >_>

    But I'm glad everything's going alright now
     
    I was like why can't I get on, but I am glad it is back up:)
