    IT'S HAPPENING

    Spoiler:
    Loved those scenes. Ougi is creepy but the way she was interacting with Ararararararagi was really a treat to watch. Almost like a snake.

    Episode 1 + 2

    Mathematics really is playing a big role this time around what with each episode so far focusing heavily on maths. Like, Euler's equation being utilized for the initial monologue, "Euler" being used by math-obsessed Oikura, the "math" test, then second episode concentrating on the "Monty Hall" problem and explaining it in terms of probability and whatnot. It kinda comes off as slightly superficial to me tbh but I don't mind as long as the story behind the events and the monologues are interesting.

    Which they definitely are! I didn't think I'd like Oikura's character at all, initially. But now I'm interested in her - more specifically, to know what made her hate Araragi so much.

    Also, haha, I'm sure I wasn't the only one who saw that she stabbed Araragi in front of Senjougahara and went "OH ****, GAHARA-SAN GON KILL YA, I SWEAR" and then she goes "I'll kill you!" and I'm like "That's my girl <3". Then she totally subverts it and her reasoning for the statement goes in a completely different direction than your expectations and you're like "...wow. Gahara-san, you really are something".

    Hanekawa pulling Senjougahara helplessly was VERY cute to see for some reason. Hanekawa kawaii as always <3333

    After the second episode, the mystery has me really interested. The obvious thing for now seems to point towards Oikura having feelings for Koyomi-kun and him doing something in the past that made her hate him for it but I just hope this series doesn't take that route. It hasn't so far. :v

    I like the first OP more than the second. Ougi > Oikura. But the second OP obviously fits this arc more due to the whole 'maths-symmetry-oikura' angle. It was kinda eerie too, visually at least. Though neither have managed to dethrone my fave monogatari OPs. Still, they're good. Both of em. Good job, SHAFT.

    Looking forward to more. :D

    I don't think it's something he did. Not directly, at least. Nor do I think she has feelings for him- or rather, I don't think she did. I'm willing to shake on this, though.

    This is kind of ringing back to what was said some time ago, and about how unlike the average Hero-complexed MC, Araragi's need to help people is compulsive, almost like a need and/or a fetish, and is used a flaw that attracts the same people it disgusts. After all, this is Araragi's arc, not Ougi's or Punchingbag's. For some time they've been building on this idea (having started out mostly as a joke that characters said bitingly before progressing into something so dangerous that it essentially became a threat to people other than himself. I imagine that flaw and the other parallels between Punchingbag and Araragu will be at the center of everything.

    Because I suspect, at the end of the day, Oikura will either work as either Araragi's foil or his shadow (or, more interesting, vice versa will be the case).

    ---

    But opening-wise I like the second one more, mostly for sound. Granted, I only heard both once so that's STC, but the second one hit my Piano-violin chord. ****ing love it when openings use those, especially when they go for more striking progressions.

    What a wonderful and lovely mess

    Another reason for AOTS is what you wanted to say :P
    There is a direct correlation between Maths and being good and that is... Maths makes everything exponentially better :P

    Episode 4 - Hanekawa awesomeness

    Ougi: I promise you, Araragi-sempai, that if you go with me, then no matter what mystery lies ahead, that we'll solve it together.
    Hanekawa: I promise you, Araragi-kun, that if you go with me, then I'll let you grope my breasts.

    Ougi R E K T. PWN'd. HARD.

    It was so much fun. Hanekawa's line when she says she's apprehensive about trusting Araragi's control over his THIRST since he's just a guy who accompanied her due to her boobies. XDDDDDD; God that was so funny.

    We're finally getting to the main part - Oikura being confronted herself should result in plenty of revelations. I hope. Can't wait for next week! :3

    it''s safe to say she is probably part of Koyomi.... Not sure if a part of his mind, a split personality, or just 'his dark side'.
    Unlikely. Ougi's interacted with Hanekawa in ep 4 (she also was seen being introduced to Araragi by Kanbaru in episode one, yes?) + she's been seen interacting with both Sengoku and Kanbaru (in S2 + Hana respectively). So she's definitely not a fragment of arararararagi's mind or anything like that and exists as a flesh and blood being. But I can see why you'd think that.

    Ah, that makes sense. :p Sorry, didn't take your statement to refer to that. My bad. That is plausible, indeed! :3
    And its fine. We all have those busy phases. Hopefully you'll be free soon~

    I just re-read my post and I think I expressed myself very harsh, sorry for that, I swear it wasn't my intention with you derozio-sama ;___;

    I just finished watching Episode 4.

    Spoiler:
    Ki ni shinaide, Ki ni shinaide - its all good. In fact, I hadn't even noticed the "harshness" of the said post till you pointed it out yourself haha. But either way, it is cool. ;)

    Oh how I so wish to see that glorious day when Arararararagi ACTUALLY gets to do something like that. But that ain't happening like you said, yeah. Unfortunately. :(

    Wait what.

    Spoiler:
    To be completely honest at this point, I'm slightly disappointed in the Oikura story. I thought it'd have more of a supernatural twist to it as is typical of bakemonogatari stuff and we'd have had an inking at this point at least. But doesn't seem like that.

    But we have more episodes before this arc wraps up so who knows. Sure, oikura is messed up and her past is crappy but...I need more to actually get into this arc. I don't know. As for the supernatural angle - I think her mom will prove to be important in the future or something. She seemed pretty hesitant when asked about her mom and tried to change the topic. That was strange.

    Why can't dreams like that be true, seriously? we do have doujins for that though so i guess life is still fair after all haha

    Ahhh this series just keeps going and going and I'm here trying to finish up with Nisemonogatari! How am I going to catch up at this point ;_;
    lmao. Try to marathon em if you can. I did that too after putting off the entire series for god knows how many years. XD;

    Its pretty awesome the series as a whole but it is very complex as their order always confused me well the anime and manga in general.

    Just caught up.

    The new OP is really experimental and I like it- it's a lot closer to the style of the endings, which makes sense considering that this is the final story. I like to think that that was the idea, there.

    About Oikuragatari, mmm. I'll assume that the thread hasn't seen the previous episode so I'll keep things vague and spoiler-free. First off, the Ougi this episode was delicious as hell. I really enjoyed the interaction between her and Arararararararararagi here more than probably any other episode, as well as the dynamic between Ougi, Hanekawa, and Araragtagonist. Won't say anything about what happened in the episode, my lips are sealed, but I will say that it was both what I'd expected and starkly different from what I expected. And...yeah, that's pretty much it. Don't want to talk too much on it, but I enjoyed it.

    Wow thanks you kept spoiler free but how about the art style used does it differ from lets say bakemongatari im alittle behind in anime as a whole but slowly catching up
