Parents...cool?

I live with my mom, grandfather and grandmother. I never knew a father, so I?ve got some weird ways. One thing I?ve very protective of my mother and lover her a lot, of course. She?s pretty lax with me, lets me spend a lot of computer time, always lets my friend come over, buys me things I want etc. She?d pretty protective too though. I also really didn't handle punishment from school at all, since I've never been punished at home.

My grandparents are very loving too, but they?re a little less lax and will get on me for things. x.x; Still, they have taken care of my mom and I ever since I was born, so they?re very big in my life too.
 
My mum hits me with bamboo stick often.
My father never hits me. He only tell me what's wrong and how ppl would think of me if I do something wrong. Very reasonable person.
Mum? Viloence violence violence, scold scold scold, punish punish punish... @_@|||

Awww, its okay man. I'm kinda in the same situation. Sure, I love mah momma, but we're never on the same page. She's a real big time christian, and she tries to get me to be one too. I can't wait for the day I'm 18 so I can do my own descicions. I really love her tho.

And I thought my dad was cool until he left us. =P

My mom reasons with me.

But my dad has a lot of intrests I do like sports.
My mom is nice but sometimes get a tad annoying.
A lot of times she talks to me while I'm sleeping! :P
 
I have one really cool parent and one really annoying parent.

My dad is my favorite of the two. He really understands what I'm going through in my life seeing as I'm in a similar situation he was in at my age (we both attend(ed) a predominantly black high school), and he manages to connect to my teen lavel of thinking without embarassing me...as much as others. He also taught me everything I know about absract political concepts and he and I can have thoroughly intelectual political debates all the time. He also taught me everything I know about computers, being a computer networks technician himself.

My mom on the other hand...can never learn to respect my ever-precious teenage privacy. As soon as I get a moment alone on the computer or GC, she has to call me downstairs to clean the den. It's like she's giving me busy work on days where I'm supposed to relax. She always uses the alibi, "I've been at work all day and you've just been in school for a while" to make my brother and I work, then I fell like retaliating by saying, "and you think schoolwork is so ****ing easy?!?" I blame her for my unusually empty social life and my awkward fear of all people in general. It's like she can't even accept the fact that I'm a laid-back kind of teenager, as opposed to the overachiever teenager she was 30 years ago. God I just hate her soo much at times, and I know people think it is bad to hate your own mother, but it is very possible.

Fortunate kids... I've like almost never been taught reason at home before, I had to teach myself the importance of reason - which I did pretty late like only recently but it's better then never. ^_^
 
I have great parents. Obviously no one's perfect so sometimes they annoy me but usually they're great. I owe alot to them. They're always there if I need to talk, they've helped me with school, and have done alot of nice things for me. My dad even made me some custom hockey goalie leg pads for using out in the coldesac (sp) in our front yard. Pretty good considering the asphalt likes to just eat everything up. Plus my parents are big hockey fans like me. In fact my dad introduced me to hockey. But what's more important than anything else is that they raised me to be a good Christian. If they hadn't done that I'm not sure what would've happened.

lol, I got saved by a friend just a couple years ago. XP My parents are not Christians... espeacially not my dad, but he's working in Vietnam now so I can still practice Christianity at times. They didn't bring me up well at all. =x Better keep my mouth shut. I'm trying to understand what it means to be a good parent myself... it's interestng. >=p
 
My stepdad...isn't cool...I'll just leave it at that o.o;;
My mom is actually pretty cool when she's not acting...odd(not as often as she used to thank goodness). She dresses and acts so young that she even gets mistaken for my sister alot ^o^ But that's not very suprising, she's 45 today and looks like she's in her mid-young 30s o_0 But alot of the time she's much less mature than me, making her more like a friend that you don't tell anything to rather that a parent. But it's been like that all my life so I'm not really sure what it's like to have a normal, mature parent.*~*;
But I havn't got much room to talk, they diserve my respect since I know I could never be a parent>,< *dosn't like small children*

Wow. Well I'm just really happy to know that you have found Him, regardless of how, all that matters is that you're saved. ;)

My parents are alright, but sometimes I fel that they don't even pay attention to what I say. >>' I will be talking to them, or telling them something, and they always ask me to repeat it because they weren't listening, it's quite aggrivating. >=\ Although my parents are annoying at times, there are things that I take for granted at times, such as how spoiled I am. I was looking at this game and talking about how I wanted to rent it, but then my dad just buys it for me! oO I did want to get it eventually, but I didn't expect to get it then! So yeah, although there are some things about them that make me want to go insane, there are also things that are great.
 
Rofl, that happens to me a lot FT. I?ll mention interest in something and like find it on my bed a day later. I?m a horribly, horribly spoiled brat without asking. XP
 
That kinda happens to me too. I'm not really spoiled but my sister is! But sometimes I'll mention that I want to buy something for myself and when I get home from school it'll be in my room! Sometimes I just want to get it for myself with my own money but my dad will buy it for me anyway. I'm not complaining it's just sometimes I want to buy it... not have someone else spend their money on me ya know? My sister is really spoiled though... if she wants something, she'll get it... I hate that.
 
Well it all depends. Sometimes they can be cool, becuase they don't really care what I do, as long as I get good grades and stay out of trouble. But if I screw up on either of those, they ground me for the longest time, and make my life miserable. They also like to embarass me in front of all my friends with stories about me when I was younger. But they usually get me what I want, so all in all, I guess they are all right.

Oh ya... my parents (mom) doesn't listen to me most of the times, and they (she) always forgets.
