...Just for the record, a single battle does not necessarily define battling skill. The people whom have been voted for have been battling on this forum since this thread was created, some having battled here for even longer. These battlers are more well-known because of that, and since the voters know more about their skill, these people are more likely to receive votes.

Let me put it this way: say that you were going to place a money bet on a horse race. Would you rather place it on the jockey who has been racing for years and has several victories under his belt, or the jockey who only started racing less than a year ago?

why is this debate even going on. dewey made it to the finals last time .. he just thought that was reason enough to get him a vote from some people. that is all. i was expecting that he would have been a top pic too.. anyway let it go.

This debate was "going on" because the two of you were making such a big deal about something that was, in reality, irrelevant to the actual battles. Of course, if the two of you are willing to drop the topic, then so am I.

EDIT: I'm definitely in favor of a loser's bracket! It'll give everyone something to do/it'll decide your actual finishing 'place' in the tournament.

I think a losers bracket would let you take it down to like a final 3 and then take the 4th person as a winner in the losers bracket.

I'm gonna go with..Aurafire, Ichida, Ooka, and _Prince_. The only reason I'm not including aragornbird is due to the fact he's been known to go in and out of activity. And no offense to anyone I didn't pick, I just think these four will be tough customers to run into.

Sorry Aurafire, but I think I'm going to go with Ooka, _Prince_, Ichida, and Maria Santos. They're all tough to beat, though of course it is highly likely that some of them will be eliminating each other before we make it to the Quarter Final. ^_^

A loser's bracket? No offense, but that isn't much more than an exercise in denial, na? If those who lost their battles want to duke it out, that's well enough.

Also, this argument is laughably pointless. Those who haven't proven their abilities have zero room to get cocky, so hush up, get off our stage, and wait your turn. Garr.

XD While I wouldn't put it quite the way Ichida has, I kind of have to agree with him. I think a losers' bracket is a tad bit overkill, as those knocked out of the tourney can battle each other regardless. I don't have to tell them who, when, and where.

That, and I have a challenging time as it is trying to get those in the winners' bracket to get their battles in on time. =P

I'm gonna predict those last two matches as no-shows that won't finish. I'm guessing the first three will definitely get done with the favorite in each match coming through (hopefully not another Zam first round destruction-sorry Glis!), and that remaining 4th match is just..well we'll be lucky if they get on at the same time.

Oh well, weekend #2 is here and only 6 matches to go? That's an awesome first round.

If you notice Miss thing, i stopped arguing a page ago...because clearly im being targeted as the only one who can't continue with it but everyone else can. So thanks for your post as i agree

And just to make myself clear:

Anyone found flaming or insulting their fellow competitors will be warned, and if the behavior continues, I will not hesitate to disqualify said individual.

So _Prince_, Faceless*, and everyone else who has been bringing up issues of pages past, just quit it. We have a friendly tournament going on here, and not a war. So treat it as such. =P
