    well today I started blue on a new kind of challange. I went with dinosaurs.

    • This seems like a long, but fun challenge, I'll have a go! :)

    I'll probally use ROMS as most of my game files are complete and woudn't want to overwrite then :P

    So basically I started with Torchic, caught a Shroomish, ruined the attempt of a no faints run against Roxanne (Shroomish fainted just about one turn before Nosepass finally went down due to a crit), caught two more Pokemon, gave them all bad nicknames, delivered the Letter, taught Tentacool the Zubat Steel Wing and grinded it a bit while being disappoined by the fact that Zubat the Tentacool will be useless for a long, long time due to a bad early movepool.

    So basically I did the earliest stuff, started catching Pokemon, lost a ton of Pokeballs for Scyther, and then somehow got distracted for the rest of the day.

    So, I looked at that thread and thought "this is almost dead and way too complex... Hell, I'm just going to Nuzlocke the game this way". It has been done before, I lurked it and it was an epic run.
    So my first encounter was a Metang, the first legendary was a Phione (I had almost forgot about its existence) and the first Pokemon on route 46 was a wild level 3 Typhlosion that died to a crit Tackle. Then I went to challenge Joey and the game froze at the start of the battle and I didn't want walk there again. Thankfully I had saved not long ago.

    • That's alright, Porygon-Z. :) And er, Suicune...you're kinda doing the challenge wrong. You don't have to play through each game and move on to the next. You just pick up and play where you last left off for that day only.

    I went through part of Silence Bridge, then that route next to Lavender, and I was in the Rocket Hideout. I fought the guy that drops the Lift Key, but I was stupid and forgot to pick it up, and I went all the way back to the elevator and realized I left it behind. So I got annoyed and said "no" and put the game down for the rest of the night, lol. Also, this is my poison monotype, so I need to re-sign up for it. Maybe.

    Ah, right, I get it, apologies I mis-read the rules, I'll start again using Game Cartridges instead, maybe a couple of roms for the games that don't work or I dont have, just to make sure, I play through a different game each day picking up from where I left off? E.G One day I play Red and only Red for that day, next day I play Emerald and only Emerald for that day



    I'll be using games:

    Red, Blue, Yellow, (Gold & Silver if they work), Crystal, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Soul Silver, Heart Gold :).

    That's essentially the idea. :) Just check some of my updates and you'll get what I mean. Also, I recommend shuffling up the games you have, cause it would sure bug me to have to play the same generation consistently. Oh, and remember, you don't have to play a game everyday. Take breaks in between if you need to.

    • Alright, I haven't been doing anything recently, just because I wasn't in the mood to play Pearl and then Platinum immediately after. My list really sucks, almost all gen4+5 games in a row, with only Emerald somewhere in between there =/
    But, now I'll play my five minutes of Pearl today, tomorrow my five minutes of Platinum and then on Sunday I can excessively play the awesomeness that is Red.
    And yes, I do realize this will lead to me ending up with all generation 1-3 games finished and the others still at one badge or so, but whatever.
