Some days I like to remind myself that it's good to do something new every day. You know, little things like trying a different flavor ice cream from the one you always get or walking down the other side of the street even if it's quicker to always use the same side. I think it's good advice, especially for someone like me who is a creature of habit. On top of that I'm shy and timid and overall lacking in confidence so in general I play things safe and am generally standoffish with people.
THAT'S ALL GONNA CHANGE. But not really. I just thought it would be dramatic to say it that way.
Anyways, I teased a bit about showing pictures of myself with those outfits I brought back from Japan (the kind-of cosplay-ish gothic lolita and maid ones) and although I don't think I'm all that photogenic and I find it a little weird to post pictures of oneself on the internet I'm going to follow the try-something-new mantra and go ahead and show some.
But first, some explainings. This costume is one that I got in Japan (of course) at a really cheap price and... it shows. Well, it might not show, but if you had the thing in your hands you'd feel how the fabric isn't the best and the ribbon lacing isn't adjustable and it wrinkles really easily. But the lace is better than average (whatever average is - I'm still a little new to this stuff) and I really like the color and design. Most importantly it fits me well enough without squeezing the life out of me or making me look like I'm wearing a sack. I think it's a good start. Certainly better than your average, or even above-average Halloween costume.
For all their cheapness I do really enjoy these outfits. I guess it's the being able to express this side of myself like I haven't really been able to before, like all those first time things you do that are so exciting. Yeah. I could go on, but I'm afraid I'd just embarrass myself even more if I did.
I guess I can't delay any more. Here.
Files are a little large, jsyk.
Sorry if there's anything that disappoints. ;D I still hope you appreciate this. I had a wardrobe malfunction in the middle of taking these pictures and one of the buttons ripped off the top of the apron, which is why the hair is like it is in the last picture to hide it. And that's not my real hair, of course, but a wig.
Aaaaannnndddd I don't know what else to say so that's all for now, I guess.
