It was twenty years ago, when Otis Farcey had his dream. A dream of a beautiful empire, ruled by only the most powerful of trainers. Otis lived in Slateport for his whole life. Living on the ocean always made him wonder what was out there. However, he never had enough money to venture out. So, he became a Pokemon trainer instead, and challenged the Pokemon League. He was a revered trainer after a long journey with his Pokemon. He was ready to challenge the Elite Four themselves, but he disappeared one day...
The Story
Hoenn is a land of tropical wather and heavy mythology. The legends state that Pokemon created this land entirely. People created the gyms and Pokemon league of today. It is typical for a trainer, ranging anywhere from ten years old or older, to begin a journey with a faithful Pokemon. Becoming the champion is the ultimate goal of trainers, which they obtain status of by defeating the eight known gyms that are spread across the region. But, unknown to most trainers, there is an orginization that is open only to those elite of the elite. The trainers that are invited to this organization not only have the most powerful Pokemon in the land, but their natural skills are also toned to the extreme. This organization is known as the TSF. This acronym is unknown to all except those who conquer this organization. Trainers that are invited by this organization are pitted against their surroundings in rigorous tests of seven categories; Ability, Spirit, Knowledge, Bravery, Tactics, Guts, and Luck. There have been many incidents where a trainer has not returned from a challenge.
The chosen people this year are to stay in a hotel in the center of the organization's land, known as the Hoenn Battle Frontier. They will each have to challenge several harrowing tests in the duration of their stay. One hundred trainers have been admitted to this frontier. Out of these, only one will be offered the position of the unknown head of the TSF. Good luck to the trainers, and their Pokemon.
The roleplay will begin on the luxury cruise from Slateport City, where the trainers are anxiously awaiting to arrive to this mysterious, new place.
Facilities:
Battle Dome:
A tournament-like challenge is held here. Only seven may pass its demanding criteria. Those who lose a battle have a chance to rebuttle back into the tournament by defeating a loser of the same round. Those who pass aren't evaluated necessarily on winning, but how they plan a battle and how they execute tactics.
Battle Arena:
A knockout style contest where single Pokemon are pitted up against eachother to prove which one has the best Mind, Body, and Skill abilities. This challenge is a direct measure of the individual Pokemon's guts.
Battle Tower:
A continuous battling system that makes challengers battle in a neutral environment. The battles here determine the ability of the trainer to battle on even footing.
Battle Palace:
A challenge that bans the trainer from commanding the trainer in battle. Battles here determine the trust and spirit between Pokemon and Trainers.
Battle Factory:
A facility that rents out Pokemon for trainers to use against other rented Pokemon. This challenge indicates whether or not the trainer can adapt to the situation in an instant and if the trainer can strategize battles with Pokemon they have never used before.
Battle Pike:
A continuous challenge that determines the luck of the trainer. Trainers are trapped in a cave, and must get out. They may run into things such as wild Pokemon, angry trainers, or people who can heal their Pokemon. Those who have amazing fortune have a chance to battle a great trainer... though some may call it unlucky.
Battle Pyramid:
A dark and eerie challenge that demands the bravest notions from trainers. They must oppose both trainers and wild Pokemon of high skill level to reach the top, where they are awarded to leave.

Rules:
- The obvious stuff, no Godmodding, Bunnying, etc.
- All Sign-ups/posts must meet minimum requirements at the least. That means all posts must be at least 4 lines. If you can't get four lines into a post, then there must not be a reason in posting.
- I hold the right to kick any roleplayer out at any time. If I kick you, and you refuse to leave, I will report you. *First offenses will result in a warning, and second consecutive warning (within a week) or severe offense will result in removal from the roleplay.*
- All assigned missions must be completed within the time frame given (almost always being Monday through Friday).
- You must be VERY active. It will literally test your dedication, writing, and punctual skills. Be prepared for a lot, here.
- Seven trainers will be accepted. I will be playing the part of frontier brains and the officials.
- Do not complain that this is not following the games/anime/etc. I do realize this, and it's a totally different story. kthx
The 'Nitty-Gritty':
Spoiler:
- Once a week, an assignment will be issued to each roleplayer individually (meaning everyone will have to do something different).
- These assignments will start on Mondays, and be completed the following Friday (unless the assignment calls for a lengthened time frame).
- Assignments will almost always consist of a Frontier facility challenge.
- Each roleplayer will be awarded Battle Points on how well they perform their task.
- Awards will be in a "one through ten" format. A ten Battle Point prize means that the roleplayer did an outstanding job, One or zero usually meaning that it was incomplete or completed whilst breaking one or more of the rules.
- Awards are based on post quality, time frame/usage, and how well you stayed to the criteria of the roleplay (did your Pokemon act how they match in your Sign-up, etc.).
- Earned Battle Points will be tallied in what I call the 'evaluation period'. This will be on weekends, when the roleplayers have finished their tasks. During these times, the characters will be spending time in the hotel, building friendships and rivalries with others.
- New assignments will be posted in the OOC thread. A notification will appear in this thread when new assignments are issued. Scores will also be posted in the OOC thread.
