So apparently in Arizona they've found 2 counties that's had fleas infected with the modern day plague. Are you worried or no? Do you think they'll spread throughout the US and the rest of the world? Or do you think when the cold front comes they'll be killed off? Thoughts?

Personally, I'm not too worried, especially living in Illinois. We don't live in the stone age anymore and we have vaccines that will cure humans and even animals that are infected. But the fact they're here is sorta frightening in a way if they do spread quickly.
I'm more worried about my 2 dogs than me myself.

The CDC says that there are 1-17 cases of plague each year in the United states, and a couple thousand worldwide. Those are fairly low numbers so I'm not personally worried for my health or anything. Would be great if we could wipe it out completely, but as long as it's detected quickly and taken care of at least we won't have any pandemics.
