"Ack... Keheh... A battle you say? While I'm not interested in harming that pretty face of yours, I guess a quick battle would work out just fine," Retus said as he put his arm around Alaska's waist and lightly pulled her against the side of his own. Retus began to look at her with a bright white glimmer in his working eye as his large grin had returned. "Don't expect me to hold back though. I wouldn't dare disrespect a lady that way," Retus whispered back into her own ear.
Alaska simply laughed in response. She let go of his neck and walked a few meters away. She looked at him with a serious expression. "Would you like to go first?" she asked. Her face was emotionless and cold, which was very unlike her. She leaped up by a tree and slashed repeatedly at one of its branches. The branch stayed still as if absorbing the hit before falling into pieces on the ground. "…That's how I chop my lunch!" she said, returning to her usual expression of delight.
