PMD: Exploration and Corruption of the New Frontier (IC)(PG-13)

Leigh was relieved that Flare was still alive. "Sheesh, You've been quiet recently" He told flare. Leigh floated up in front of Retus's face. "I don't believe that our team has introduced their selves. I'm Leigh" He then turned to Felecia, "Thats our leader, Felecia" ...And then over to Flare. "The sleepyhead over here is Flare. Good to know we have somebody reliable leading us through such harsh lands." Leigh noticed Alaska smile at him, So he did the same back.

----------

"Kehehe, Whatever you say." Retus had replied as he patted Alaska's back. Retus observed the rather small looking team. "Sheesh what are these guys kindergartners?" He thought to himself. He was curious as to how such a young vulpix became their leader. Though he was intrigued by the fact it was a shiny one. Retus only sees shinnies once in a blue moon. Though that didn't matter. They accepted his offer. "Ah! Good to hear! I'll make sure not a scratch is put on any of you by the time we get to our destination." He told both of them teams. Retus once again glowed a bright blue.

Felicia grinned excitedly "Thanks a lot!" she said happily she was still bouncing up and down for once acting her age instead of trying to be more mature than she is. "So when are we leaving?" she asked eyes shining because of her hyperness.

"Hmm... Wonder if the teams that were caught trouble back at the pathway are still there..." He thought to himself. They had to have been finished off by now. He could stall a bit, just to be safe... "We'll leave fairly soon. No worries."He replied to Felecia. I'd like to hear Zeke's opinion though I got a feeling he still dosn't like me. Shame." He again looked at Alaska as his eyes once again glowed a pinkish color. "Scuse me for a bit" Hopefully Retus could stall enough time for the passage to be truly clear.

-----------

Leigh thought Retus was innocent enough, But that personality annoyed him. He couldn't get enough of Alaska. He wasn't sure of the sableye's opinion of team Fiere either. As much as Retus had showed that he ment nothing but good, He still couldn't throw off the feeling that something was odd about the Sableye... "Quite a sly, Dirty snob isn't he?" Leigh whispered to everyone nearby.

Felicia nodded "Yeah...I have the feeling that he;s up to something" she whispered back in agreement. "I also think he's trying to do something to Alaska...but I don't know what" she added quietly remembering when the sableye's eye had turned pink.

(OOC: I hope I did this right...)

Layne couldn't believe the Shinx was thinking what Layne thought he was thinking. Shinx was jumping forward, using a variety of attacks and thunder attacks. If what Layne thought Shinx wanted to do would happen, then there were several risks. If Layne right then were to release a Water Pulse attack, the water pulse would yes hit shinx, electrify the water, and yeah, if Shinx was lucky enough to hit the Ariados, there would be one hell of an attack, but not without putting Chunk in risk himself.

Layne wasn't an electric pokemon, so he didn't know how much they could take. He knew that though electric pokemon generated electricity, they were not immune to the damage of electricity, as other electric pokemon were just as capable of harming them. Pichu couldn't use electricity without somehow hurting themselves in the process, and......Chunk. The guy had spirit and balls that was for sure, but would he be able to take possible critical damage?

Water was one of electricity's biggest conductors. Layne had had the unpleasant
experiences of being shocked hard by some rather powerful electric pokemon, and a couple of those times, he was in water (mainly the pokemon needed rescue and was scared). He had to fight to keep himself afloat, and conscious. Fortunately, the shock didn't always last long, since sometimes the user himself got shocked.

However, unfortunately, for Layne, they didn't have time to discuss, as Chunk had already began to act.

Layne sighed, and charged up an average Water Pulse. He took a shot, and fired.

The water enveloped Chunk as he charged forward. And the water began t o glow. The electrified water made it look almost like an improved electric aqua jet. That was the best thing Layne could call it. The attack impacted both of the ariados, and there was a rather large explosion due to such power.

Layne was blown back from the shockwave, near the water's edge, but he got back up. "And though once aain his body persisted against most movement, he forced himself to run into the fog of war battlefield again. "Chunk, answer me, right now."

Right now, Chunk had to have been in one hell of a situation to have been in the middle of such an attack. And if Layne had to get them both to the guild, he would do so.

((OOC: SM do good?))

zeke had been silent this entire time thinking.

"sure if they trust you i do too" Zeke nodded.

He then walked off and Specter followed. the two got far enough away from the group to discuss in private.

"i want you to be ready at all time to take him down. aerial ace if neccisary." Zeke stressed the importance.

"yes sir." Specter nodded.

"Kehehe, Whatever you say." Retus had replied as he patted Alaska's back. He observed Felicia's team. By the look on his face, he probably thought they looked small. "You're pretty small yourself, buddy," said Alaska, patting Retus' head. "Ah! Good to hear! I'll make sure not a scratch is put on any of you by the time we get to our destination," Retus replied to Felicia's decision. "Thanks a lot!" said Felicia, still bouncing up and down. "So when are we leaving?" she asked. "We'll leave fairly soon. No worries," he replied. "I'd like to hear Zeke's opinion though I got a feeling he still doesn't like me. Shame." He looked at Alaska again and his eyes glowed pink. "'Scuse me for a bit." Alaska watched him leave. "Quite a sly, Dirty snob isn't he?" Leigh whispered. "Yeah... I have the feeling that he's up to something," Felicia whispered back in agreement. "I also think he's trying to do something to Alaska... but I don't know what."
Alaska broke in with a laugh. "Don't worry, he can't do anything to me," she said. She still didn't trust Retus, and she wouldn't let him affect her negatively. "Anyone hungry? I think I saw some apple trees nearby."

Leigh laughed back at Alaska. "Yeah. He won't be a problem." As much as he wanted to say that with a straight face, That sableye was more powerful then usual. If he did anything though, It would be 7 vs 1 either way. Leigh also heard the comment made by felecia about Sableye trying to do something to Felecia. Retus' eyes only glowed pink when looking at Alaska...

Once Leigh had a guess of what may have been on Retus' mind, He blushed a bit. It quickly faded after Alaska had mentioned an apple tree. "O..oh! Yeah! Food sounds good right about now. Lead the way." Leigh replied to Alaska. Leigh looked over to Retus once more and followed Alaska.

------------------

"Excellent. I'll allow you all to make preparations then. I'll be back in a moment..." Retus said as he dove into his shadow and wandered into town. He wanted to make sure that no wanted posted were put back up on any trees or signs. It could be any sableye on that poster as far as everyone else knows. "kehehe... Maybe I'll just take them to this guild... Make them trust me a bit more... They still have yet to see just what the corruption can really do..." He thought to himself as he tore up a few more wanted posters stealthily.

Alaska ran over to a tree and scaled it easily by stabbing the bark with her claws. She slashed at the branches and many apples fell to the ground. Alaska looked down at Leigh. "More? I can climb higher!" she called down. She turned her head and saw some Kakuna hanging from the branches. Instead of greeting them, she cautiously eyed them and then looked back down at Leigh. Alaska wasn't so sure about talking to every stranger she meets anymore.

Leigh quickly moved out of the way as an apple almost had landed on him. "Heh, It's like dodging a bunch of loose boulders for me." He said, completely acknowledging his own small size. "Whats wrong? See something up there?" He replied cheerfully as he floated up near Alaska. "Ah. A bunch of Kakunas. They aren't exactly the most friendly types from what I hear. Beedrill swarms can be a real pain... I've been there before."

Felicia bounced up "Wait for me!" She called running after Leigh and Alaska reaching them just as a few apples fell from the tree and her stomach growled. "I'm hungry" she said as she stood next to Leigh. She herself couldn't wait until they left here and headed for the guild.

"Whats wrong? See something up there?" Leigh replied cheerfully as he floated up near Alaska. "Ah. A bunch of Kakunas. They aren't exactly the most friendly types from what I hear. Beedrill swarms can be a real pain... I've been there before." Alaska looked at him and smiled. "I've never got around to pranking them," she said, looking back at the Kakuna, "but I don't think I should try right now... or..." Alaska blinked and then a large grin formed on her face as she created a Shadow Ball. She tossed it over at the Kakuna and quickly grabbed Leigh. She leaped off the tree and looked up at them. They looked angrily down at her, but could do nothing since the Beedrill were gone, probably collecting honey. "Aw, I was hoping for a chase," Alaska said and looked at Felicia. "You can go ahead and eat some of the apples."

Felicia smiled looking warily up at the Kakuna that were staring angrily at Alaska and shrugged before pulling an apple to her with one of her paws and sitting down taking a bite as her stomach growled again. "Thanks" she said to Alaska with a smile before she took another bite of the apple.

"...Or what?" Leigh replied before Alaska threw a shadow ball at the Kakuna. Alaska quickly grabbed Leigh and jumped down the tree. The Kakuna in the tree looked pretty angry after that. Luckily no Beedrill were nearby. "Ha... Always love a good prank." Leigh said as he sat down near one of the apples. Trying his best, He nibbled on the apple as best as he could. The green gel got in the way but Leigh attempted to manage. "You know, I once used my Telepathy to prank a bedrill one time. They eventually caught me and boy did that hurt..." He said giving off a faint laugh.

Felicia giggled "I've been attacked by a beedrill before. Wasn't watching where I was going and ran into it. Startled me so much i accidently set it on fire. It wasn't happy about that" she said finishing her apple before grabbing another one still a little hungry.

Leigh continued eating the apple as best as he could. Due to his small body he wasn't much of an eater. After eatting a bit he rolled over to the girls and continued to converse with the two of them. "Ouch... I mean, To both you and the Beedrill. Getting set on fire would really ruin my day" Leigh replied jokingly looking at the apples around him. "*sigh..., It's times like this I wish I knew telekinesis. That would really make up for the lack of hands." He said looking around him. He relaxed on the ground so much that it looked as if the green blob around him were melting.

Felicia giggled finishing her second apple she laid down on the ground. "I agree. I'd hate to be set on fire... and I honestly didn't mean to do that to the beedrill it just scared me" she said looking around as the sunlight shone around them.

Leigh continued to relax on the ground. He was bound to get dirt in his green gel again but it felt really comfortable... "It's not so fun when most of the land is corrupted. We're so limited when it comes to exploring. We need a friggin escort just to get to the guild. It can't really be that bad can it...?" Leigh had only faced a corrupt pokemon once and was able to manage well against it. If only it hadn't hit Leigh with that attack, He would be pure of the corruption and wouldn't have the black bit of it showing...

"...I don't think I asked before but, where are you all from?" Leigh asked everybody around him.

Felicia looked at the ground. "I'm not really sure where I'm from. After my dad died and my mom disappeared I moved around a lot looking for her. They never told me the name of the forest we lived in" she said sadly tears building in her eyes as she thought of her parents.

"I'm from a little village that consists mostly of fire Pokemon a ways away from here," Flare explained with a little sigh escaping his mouth. "My dad's the main cheif of the whole place, but I got kicked out because I can't sucesfully use a Fire attacks. The only way I can go back, or even see any of my family again, is if I learn to use a fire attack."

He concentrated and tried to use an Ember, but all he did was blow a little line of smoke. "But I don't think that';s going to happen anytime soon...'
