Battle facilities. Im sorry to flame but have you even played pokemon emerald or used terms from it?! Sorry but im tired pissed and i cant deal with explaining much.
 
Well don't take it out on me! And actually Emerald was my first game I got. I was just asking to clarify.
And it would be nice if you wouldn't make such harsh assumptions of people.

and the hail, yes, i agree, i hate weather conditions, especially if they come from the enemies side, or if they have a pkmn immune to them, like tyranitar to sandstorm, or rayqaza to any weather conditions. they make the battles annoying.

Yes, it's a disease, caused by inhalation of volcanic dust.

ONTOPIC: I don't really like the look of the new GTS outside. It doesn't look as cool IMO. And I didn't really like the Battle Frontier Trainer star in Emerald, it was hard enough beating Battle Tower, so I think I'll be sticking with Diamond for totally finishing the game.
 
Ok good for you. Also i found on pokebeach the true info translate as the site pokemon platinum uses google.
Wi-Fi

  • The Global Trade Station building is gone, replaced with the "Global Terminal" building (since you won't only be trading now)
  • There is a new "Wi-Fi Club" in the Global Terminal
  • You can play new mini-games with up to 20 friends
  • One of the games involves a Swalot and berries, presumably to make Poffin
  • As revealed previously, you can play in the Underground with your friends over Wi-Fi
  • The basements of each Pokemon Center are completely revamped
Game Mechanics

  • A new feature is the "Battle Recorder," which records your battles and broadcasts them around the world
  • There is a new "Battle Frontier" with many different areas, and it is located where the Fight Area in D/P was
  • Pokemon will have new battle sprites, as we mentioned in a previous news story
  • The back sprites of Pokemon will be animated
Pokemon

  • Giratina Origin Forme's ability is Levitate
  • Giratina is only in its Origin Forme in the Reverse/Torn World, but there is a way of inducing its Origin Forme outside that is not known yet
  • Shaymin Sky Forme's ability is Serene Grace
  • As we mentioned in a previous story, Shaymin will transform into its Sky Forme when exposed to the key item "Glacidia's Flower"
Story

  • Team Galactic is stronger and plays a larger role in the story
  • Cyrus summons/confronts Palkia and Dialga, and then apparently Giratina right after
  • An international police team is hunting Team Galactic (that detective guy from those first Platinum images is one of them)
  • Team Galactic has a new executive (the other old man from the first Platinum images)

And while we're wishing for things that could never happen, that would be totally awesome if you could catch trainers in a PokeBall, and then the trainer would have six attacks to throw out his/her Pokemon, and then THEY would all have their own attacks.

I agree with everyone i just quoted. Ive had that catching trainer idea for ages, ive always wanted to see it happen, but not in the games.
 
Catching a trainer would be the weirdest thing i've seen. It is probably not possible, the closest i've seen to that was pokemon colosseum when you could catch certain pokemon right from the other trainer...i do wish they had a little more to the battleing system, and update it.
 
Trainer Catching... cmon guys/girls this couldn't and wouldn't ever happen... besides it wouldn't work
 
LOL. Nice way to chnge opinion. Anyweh im wondeing. Ok glacidias flower was revealed in pics not from coro-coro. So where does the pic come from. Look ill show what i mean:

i would assume so, because D/P doesn't have the flying Shaymin sprite in its internal memory, either that or you'd have to change it to its land forme before trading it, to prevent problems.

EDIT: is the new regigigas forme a fake or not?

I really like the new forms for the pokemon, especially shaymin. Now it doesnt look so harmless. Also in darkcookies comment, he posted that picture i saw a one involving pokemon trading. How do you think the trading will work in Platinum?
 
in terms of what? the trading would work the same way, unless ur talking about trading different formes, then that might change a little. my thought is it'll be like the time capsule in G/S/C, that they'll make u change shaymin's form to the ground forme before you can trade it to D/P.

anyone have an idea on the resale on Platinum? i wanna know how much money to put aside from my summer job to pay for it.
 
Like it always does?! LOL im bored. Well platinum is shaping up well. Cant wait to see what there goin to have for giratinas shape shifting item. NAd i think its obvious where you get it.

i think it'll be the same deal, personally. they give shaymin an item, so why not giratina as well? besides, sometimes it'll be more logical to use its another forme, and sometimes better to use its origin forme.
