The stardust makes the pokemon encountered after collecting it a bad egg

Oh, that shouldn't have happened. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I've put out an update that fixes this

i noticed this as well but for me the first one i encountered (the one where the stardust is in the forest) turned out just fine, but the one in mt Ande became a bad egg

look for the eighth gym, should be located in Starfall City. Easiest way to get there would be to fly to Comet City and head directly north.

What is the shiny rate? I already caught two shiny pokemon the fakemon bird and ledyba.

Shiny rate is the standard 1/8192, but I added a mechanic that guarantees the next pokemon you encounter to be shiny whenever you get Stardust

Yes. Save someplace unaffected by the update beforehand though just in case. Pokemarts are probably the safest bet

I have a friend playing this right now that is having an issue.
My makuhita and now also my trapinch won't evolve. Each level at/past where they're supposed to evolve it'll go to the screen, and then stop and the text will just say "..?"

That is probably caused by not having the national dex. There's a quick fix for that in the latest version of the hack by talking to the pokedex just south of Andromeda City. If it's not there, I suggest updating to the latest version. You can do this by replacing the old rom file with the new one and just loading your old save with the new rom

Short answer: Depends on what you did before getting your starter. But the odds are boosted, to an extent.

You very likely found the Stardust in the Magellanic Stream to the right of Tierra Town. Finding Stardust in this game typically guarantees that the next Pokemon you encounter is shiny. If you didn't grab the Stardust and your Eevee was shiny regardless, then that's full odds.

It's a bug involving shinies meant to be owned by trainers. They appear more frequently in a row. If I had to guess, you were in one of the Team Tactix areas before catching those

You get it from the captain on the Titanic II (the S.S. Anne equivalent)

i'm on version 1.1.3 and getting a bug where when i catch dialga and the pokedex gets updated, the game freezes. is this just me or...? what could be some workarounds to this? thanks 😩
