So, alot of you know me as Neo-Spriteman, and if you read my post on Glaucous Version, you'd know that it's taking a huge break. First of all, the files are corrupted, so that's not good. But anyway, here's Pokémon: Aura Guardians!

Story

Chapter One - Bon Voyage

Well, you've just left on your trip to the Sinnoh region with your rich family, but run into a huge obstacle. There's a huge glacier in front of the boat! Luckily, your captain was prepaired for this, and uses his Fire Pokémon's attacks to melt it. It's all smooth sailing from here. Well, at least that's what you thought. The next obstacle was an enormous rock in the ocean! The captain takes a sharp turn right and collides with a giant steel dome. the ship falls apart, and everyone panics. Everyone hurries into the lifeboats except you. You try to save all the trapped Pokémon. After freeing the last Pokémon, the ship begins to sink. You try to swim out, but failed. The whole scene fades away.

Chapter Two - Lost

You wake up to the sound of ocean water and popping bubbles. You look up, and see that you're on a beach. There's nobody there, save for the few Krabby and Shellder. You decide to look around the place. After searching, you discover a forest. There is a sign that has writing on it, but it's nothing legible. Though there is a picture of two strange Pokémon you've never seen before.

Chapter Three - Aura Guardian

After searching the forest some more, you find a strange tribe of humans. They wore Marowak skulls, and wore tarps. They looked like a very primative version of humans. You spy on them for a few minutes, when they start a strange chant. They bring out some strange staffs, and bring them before an alter. One of them finally starts talking English, or what sounds like it, anyway. He says "Oh, king of Aura, we are sorry. We have failed in protecting the mythical Aura Core. Someone has stolen it from us. Please send us an Aura Guardian to retrieve the Aura Core." The ground begins to shake, then a bright light shines. When it fades, you are standing in front of the crowd of people. The one from before begins to speak. He says "This is the Aura Guardian? She/He looks weak and can not possibly be the Aura Guardian!" They burst into laughter. Then, an enormous strike of lightning hits the ground before you. They stop laughing. Because they know that you are the Aura Guardian.

Starters

After the strange events that took place earlier, the strange people, known as the Aurions, direct you to the two staffs from before. The staffs are known as the Staffs of Aura. Emitting from the staffs are the auras of two legendary Pokémon known as Zorua and Riolu. You have to decide which you want as your partner, and then command it to release its aura.​

Wild Pokémon

The aura you release will affect the wild Pokémon you see. If you release the Corrupt aura (Zorua), then the Pokémon you find will be different than if you release the Pure aura (Riolu).

Also, you don't catch Pokémon in this game. You have to bond with them using your aura staff.

Random Ideas that I'll categorize when I get back home

Instead of Pokeballs, you summon the Pokemon from your staff.
Your staff must be charged in order for you to catch a Pokemon.
The staff runs on aura energy, which can be found in random places.
Potions don't exist in this region. Only herbs and medicine.
Instead of Gym leaders, there will be Aura Knights, which are Legendary Pokemon.
You can't catch them.
Zorua and Riolu have different learnsets.
They evolve al level 30.
Some Pokemon have different abilities, types, stats, and learnsets.
There will be rare, different looking Pokemon with a different appearance than usual.
Animated battle sprites.
Quest system
Skill Levels
No TM/HM
There's gonna be these rocks of a certain type (ie. flame rock, hover rock), and depending on your skill level, you can change the rock into a move tutor for one of you pokemon. You must go to a Move Hut, though.

Looks like a great idea and I fully support you on this. I actually am working on a game based around the whole Aura Guardians concept (but drastically different from yours) and it never occurred to me to use the staff idea or something similar. I like it, shows a lot of creativity.

I like the story-line, but with what your doing, it depends on how well executed the features you are planning are. The bond with pokemon using the aura staff is weird I mean max did it with deoxys and jirachi lol, and it says full list of pokemon by staff you chose but it seems there aren't many pokemon you can get.

Yup, I'm Neo-Spriteman. I got bored of Glaucous. It had no story, no life. It wasn't different from most games.

How is that weird? The aura staff is an item simmilar to the capture styler. It makes a powerful bond between you and the Pokemon.

I know. The list is a Work In Progress. I'll update it when I have more time, but I need to come up with more opposite Pokemon.

And my friend Venom12 most likely won't mind scripting a few systems. He's already begun with the animated Pokemon.

this looks like a really good idea, though due to your list of pokemon, i already now which staff i would choose. the corrupt staff, thhere are a lot of pokemon on there that i really like, also some of them are a bit more powerful than the pure ones, the only one i really like on the pure staff, is growlithe, one of my favorite pokemon! i command you to change it to the corrupt staff, and switch it with vulpix, NAO!

dont put that thought in his head that means ill have to use pure staff and not have a houndoom and zorua

Well, Growlithe is a super loyal Pokemon, therefore making him pure.

I'm just saying you better vary up the types on the corrupt side a bit since your starter would be a Dark-type and most people will want variety in their team. And over half the Pokemon that come with the Corrupt Aura are Dark-type themselves.

i think instead of choosing opposites you should do vicious pokemon as corrupt and peaceful as pure.
like for example mankey should be corrupt since he is angry and hostile and meowth should be pure since he isnt agressive
