Maybe, but I get enough satisfaction from Pokemon by simply raising 6 strong Pokemon to Lv. 100.
Now that I think about it, there are cases when the addition of new Pokemon can be a good thing. For one thing, each generation has had a profound effect on competitive battling with all the new moves and new Pokemon and new traits. Currently, Netbattle is getting boring because everyone is using the same Pokemon. When D/P comes out, the battling world will get a refresher and people will be able to try out new things.
Of course on NB, you don't have to catch or raise any Pokemon since they're already there.

With the 4th Gen games comin' up It'll be a lot harder to 'Catch 'em all' with 500 odd Pokemon. 0_0

Yeah, but its impossible to catch them all al the moment in the old games. As you need a Nintendo Event to get Mew in the first place so if you live in England its impossible to get Mew unless you do a cheat or use GameShark.
 
I think its getting out of hand slightly with the making of a fourth generation. That'll probably add two legendaries that can't be caught as well. I think Nintendo should just stop making new Pokemon and make all the old one available. I'd be a lot happier for it. I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but thats just my opinion.

Wrong. I agree with you. It'd be really awesome to have the Johtonese Pokemon back into the games.

actually... there's an R/B/Y glitch that allows you to catch Mew, the only Pokémon you need to cheat to get in the GB games is Celebi -_-
Pokémon only available through Nintendo events suck my socks anyway. There has only been one Nintendo event in Finland and it was to get Mew in the R/B/Y games and it was ages ago -_- Atleast there have been a few events for the advance games in England.

I don't think they should make more Pokémon either -_- Why not just put in more of the old Pokémon in the games? And some Nintendo event Pokémon should be possible to obtain in the D/P games, I think...

Well when all the facts are considered, Nintendo's obviously not gonna give up on the Pokemon cash cow no matter what people think. And since they're sticklers for tradition, they gonna keep doing that "Oh we're gonna make one or two Pokemon unavailable in either version and you're gonna have to come to us to get it! "

At least we'll be able trade any old Pokemon from GBA games into the DS. Oh, and the Revolution is also backwards compatible with all the Gamecube, N64, SNES, and NES games. That's friggin' sweet!

Yeah, and the Pokemon they make unavailable are probably going to be the most uberly powerful and desirable. Anyway, I hope that you can get Ho-oh and Lugia without cheats or a Nintendo event. That brings me onto an idea. What types do y'all reckon the new legendaries are gonna be?

Knowing Nintendo there's probaly going to be yet another Pokémon trio (like the legendary birds, the legendary cats/dogs and the regis) and a bunch of Pokémon that are partly Psychic or Dragon -_- If they're are going to make another dragon type legendary, it just has to be an ice type. An Ice/Dragon type Pokémon would be totally awesome ^_^

There will be a fire Pokemon too. Maybe a Water/Grass-Fire pokemon, since Groudon and Ho-Oh had two types

Actually... Groudon is a pure Ground type. I'd personally like to see a bug type legendary. Who knows. Maybe it will make people respect bug Pokémon?
 
The only thing about Misty I don't like is that she doesn't like bug Pokémon -_- Water Pokémon totally pwn and so does Togetic =D
 
What's your favourite water Pokémon? (got to keep this chat active =P)

Mine is... a tie between *points at sig* (Tentacruel), Feebas, Swampert, Vaporeon and Blastoise
 
Suicune, Mudkip ^_^ *points at name*, Swampert, Totodile, Feraligatr, I think that's all. I like Fire Pokemon more.
 
I'm not a big fan of fire Pokémon myself, but I still like Houndoom, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Quilava, Ninetales and a few more ^_^

Too bad the latest Advance games haven't been very kind towards Fire Pokemon. I mean, R/S gave us Torchic, Torkoal, Numel, and that's it. Meanwhile they added in a ton of new Water, Grounds, and Rock types that Fire can't handle.
Hopefully, D/P will make this type better. Same for Bug and Poison types too, they need more representation besides just Heracross, Scizor, and Weezing.
