When you start with Treecko or Mudkip, it's hard to find a good fire pokemon.
But I love that Houndoom can be found in Emerald^_^

Houndoom is really cool. Devil dog! I wish it was just a bit faster. It's too frail to survive many hits so it really needs that speed to outrun enemies.

*hasn't played far enough through Emerald to get a Houndoom* XD Usually if I can't find a good Fire Pokemon in the games, I just make up for it with other Pokemon that have an advantage over the same types that Fire Pokemon do. X3 Like using a Fighting type against Ice or Bug types against Grass or something of the sort. XD

I personally like Cyndaquil. I always choose it as my G/S/C starter. Fire is probably my favourite type. As Aragornbird pointed out they were unfortunately neglected in R/S/E (a camel, tortoise and a chicken. Come off it Game Freak <_>'').

CYNDAQUIL!!!!!!! He is the best of the three starters for me. As for the starters, I mean the fire starters. I still like Charmander and Torchic but Cyndaquil somehow captivates me more. And Houndoom is a good fire type too. Too bad his defense stat gets him a bad beating most of the time. :( I do hope they make some more fire types, bugs, and maybe some steel types in D/P versions.

Hmmm, you know what would be cool? A Bug legendary, that would totally rock considering most legendaries are Psychic type. It would be even better if they gave it Megahorn or its own unique Bug attack.

Now that you mentioned it, my Dragonite has Aeroblast AND Megahorn on my Emerald version. :D Some tough moves though I don't know how my uncle got it before he traded me. He doesn't have a AR or Gameshark if I remember....

Lol, that's awesome. I remember how I used to have a sharked Scyther with Aeroblast and Megahorn on my Gold version (before I lost it :(). I don't think they'll give other Pokemon Aeroblast anytime soon. Signature moves like Aeroblast, Sacred Fire, Leaf Blade etc. make the Pokemon that learn them more "special".
They should however, make a stronger Flying attack and something that's more accessible than Drill Peck.

The amount of Ice type Pokémon is pathetic and most of them are freaks anyway -_- I agree that there should be more Ice types and I'd like them to be cool/cute too. So far there are only three Ice type Pokémon I like (Articuno, Walrein and Dewgong), even though I <3 Ice -.-

I agree on the dark type moves too. There are only six offensive (even though Knock off and Thief can hardly be counted as offensive, due to their pathetic power. They are more on the support side) Dark type moves and the amount of Dark type support moves is pathetic too ~_~ I want to see more Dark type moves. And even though I love snatch, Torment and Taunt I still want to see some more offensive dark type moves.

Dark Pokemon are great! They need better moves. And we need more Ice pokemon.

The best moves of every other type are so much stronger than Crunch >.< Power 80 just won't do it when there are moves like Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Megahorn, Double-edge, Return... the list goes on. They all have more power than Crunch even though most of them aren't even the strongest moves of their types and Crunch is the strongest dark type move around -_-

I don't think there is a necsessity for more ice moves, just more ice Pokemon.

yes, and Houndoom learns Crunch at lv 61 I think. That's way to long. And Flamethrower at 51. Come on, Charizard learns that attack so much sooner.
I realy love Houndoom but he could have had better attacks (or at least learn them sooner)

I have never used Houndoom, Its attack arn't that good I find, I have my team that I use for each game.

After i finished the game i started training houndours and growlithe's. theyre both pretty weak. especially the houndours is crap. or should i say it's attacks?
