Heck yeah, omg seel is like the most creative ingenius name on this planet, along side horsea :P

I think they've done much better in the name department, "kai-orca" that's the way to make a sea god name right there :P

And on the age thing, I wish I was a little bit younger like Oni, as I get destroyed by my mom for liking and playing and what not with pokemon :\
 
LOL, my parents know I like Pokemon. And so do the majority of my friends. xD
 
Hey excuse me..... but I think the first gen Pokémon had better names. They felt better in your mouth ^^
I hate them for first making a seal pokemon and call it Seel, and then make another (sorta) and call it.... Spheal............ ._.

Bulbasaur and Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard are just.... those names are great.

Well... Mew was a little silly now, wasn't it? And Articuno... "artic" I can understand, but what does "cuno" mean?

You've simply gotta love Rapidash as well, and after I'd read/seen Naruto, my eyes glimmered when I said Ninetales out loud x3

:P lol, well names vary between the season, the names change but the voices if anyone noticed some 4th gen have blue/red voices :\

so which season had the best names?
 
Actually, Articuno is "arctic" and "uno" - the first of the three legendary birds. Same goes with ZapDOS (2nd of the birds) and MolTRES (third of the birds) xD

I haven't watched the anime in ages. I meant the Pokémon's names, in the generations of the games.

@ Scarlet: Oh, I remember now! I knew that! I always thought those bird names were strange, until I found that out. Now I think they're great. Just forgot that now :3
 
My sister had to tell me that, 'cause I couldn't figure it out on my own XDDD

I think Pokemon does fine with the names these days, I really like how they came up with arceus

And I have watched a tiiiiny bit of some episodes from D/P. I know the voices changed abruptly somewhere in Johto, and I've always missed the original Pikachu voice... :(

I dislike dub for switching voices often, it irritates me, and kinda turned me off from watching them :\

The Squirtle voice was just beautiful, m'dear. Never forget that blue-coloured turtle!

They have always kept the original Pikachu voice o.O
 
For the Legendary dogs, I only know one for certain

Raikou is Japanese for thunder.

RegiSTEEL, RegICE, RegiROCK. xD

I have seen a tiny bit of D/P.
 
lol Fable, Pikachu's voice in the dub is the same of the Japanese version, so it hasn't really changed.

To be honest, now I'm actually adapted to the new voices. They are fine now.

I have a question:
Do a lot of pokemon keep their Japanese names or just a small selected group?
