Oh for God's sake. How wouldn't they be easy if you have four level one hundred Pokèmon?

I actually set myself a challenge and told myself I'd have to beat the Elite Four with my own team before I try Wi-Fi. Took me ages to do it.

The elite four suck my highest lv is 82 and i can beat them hands down

Oh yeah oni raichu where can you get wi-fi kit

no there good it depends how u train them

Not really. Every Pokemon has limits, and their limits aren't good enough to really compete with better Pokes.

And everyone knows that the Elite Four are easy. You could beat them with a Magikarp if you leveled it enough. Also, of course the E4 are going to be easy when you have lvl 100 Pokes- you're meant to fight them with lvl 50-60 Pokes.

Why would you fight them with lv 50-60 pokemon the whole point is you battle them to get stronger

No, the whole point of the E4 is to be the final boss of the entire game, not a farming run. You're supposed to fight them with the Pokes you have when you meet them- which, unless you're an obsessive power-leveler, means lv 50-60.

no pokemon have limits you can train them differently

yeah but once you defeat them you dont stop because them and your rival are the only good trainers in the game

They have limits. Electivire's maximum possible Speed is 317. Compare that to, say, Garchomp, whose maximum possible Speed is 333. Since Garchomp always has maximum Speed, who do you think will win?

Pokemon have limits, get over it. You aren't Ash Ketchum.

And yes, you can train Pokemon different ways- but only a few of those ways don't suck. Even if you max out an Electivire's HP and Def, it still dies in one hit to an Earthquake, making all those EVs a complete waste.

Sure, but that doesn't mean that was the reason they were put in. The Elite Four's purpose is to be a final boss. It's just an added perk that they make a decent EXP farm after you beat the game.

pokemon do not have limits just conduct experiments on them

Yes, they do. I'm going to explain this as meticulously as possible, and if you don't get it, then you're just an idiot.

Electivire has 95 Base Speed. At level 100, THE HIGHEST LEVEL OBTAINABLE, he'll have a Speed of 195. Now, let's assume that he has a 31 IV in Speed- now, his Speed is 226. Now, we invest 255 EVs into his Speed- the MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF EVS POSSIBLE IN A SINGLE STAT. This makes his Speed 289. And to top it all off, let's assume that he's Jolly natured, which raises his Speed 1.1x, making his Speed 317. And that is IT. It's impossible to increase his Speed any more. Therefore, he has a limit. It's the same for all stats, and for all Pokemon. Get over it.

If Pokemon were real and you were a trainer, you would be arrested by Officer Jenny so fast that even Suicune wouldn't see it coming.

Ahaha. Now that was a good post.

If Pokèmon were real we'd probably all be dead.

Wow I just read that last page and a half... i think I'm getting a migraine. I agree with the airconditioning, Magmotar is only good for flamebody. Competitively, Electrivire and Magmortar are average at best. But obviously the younger kids don't know much about EV training and IVs. Any pokemon in your own game is good at lv. 100, unless you're competing in the Battle Tower.

um.... i think electivire is still awesome, he could learn a lot of different type moves, like flamethrower and ice punch.

What does that do? O_o
But I'm not much for electric types anyway. I'll stick to the psychics. ;3

Motor Drive- whenever Electivire is hit by an Electric-type move, his Speed is booted 1.5x. The thing is, when an opponent realizes that Vire is on your team, they'll make sure to not use Electric moves to make sure that Vire doesn't get that boost.

Also, there's no real point to using an electric attack against an electric pokemon anyways because it only does half damage, plus Electrivire's Sp. Def. is usually higher than it's defense... Strategically, there's no advantage to using an electric attack against it, esp. with Motor Drive.

Of course not, everyone knows that. The trick is to switch Vire in on a predicted electric-type move, and sweep from there. For example, at the start of a battle, my opponent sends out a Gyarados, while I send out Porygon-Z. I would use Thunderbolt in the hopes of killing Gyara, while he would switch to Electivire to absorb the attack and get the Motor Drive boost.

The thing is, most people aren't that stupid. Nobody would keep Gyara in on Porygon-Z (not one that didn't have a DD up, anyway), so logically, using Thunderbolt would be a waste, as it wouldn't even hit. A good player would predict a switch (to Electivire or otherwise), and use Tri-Attack to hit whatever came in, or Nasty Plot on the switch.
