I thought every non-legendary (including Manaphy) lays eggs... Now that's just weird...

Anyway, if Manaphy's egg is Phione, then how can Manaphy be inside an egg if Phione doesn't evolve?

That's odd? I thought that the legends lay eggs also and that's a good question about Manaphy and Phione.

Phione shouldn't evolve because otherwise, everyone would be breeding for Manaphy and it won't be so rare, you see?
That's why they made it so Phione won't evolve.

Well there it. I think it was Chansey. But it isn't written in the Pokedex that it eats eggs. I only see it in the movie.

I'm pretty sure it cannot breed.

In the case of Phione and Manaphy, maybe they're like Mules, they're the hybrids of a Horse and a donkey (or something like that), thus the offspring is sterile and not as complete as the originals. Just a thought.

There is one Pokemon that I've read eats eggs, and thats Sneasel. Apparently it climbs into the nests and chows down after the parents are away or the Sneasel chased them away.

Ekans is also another one that likes to eat eggs. Apparently, I've read from somewhere before that says that Ekans likes to eat eggs from the nests of Pidgey and Spearow. That's probably because its a snake. xD;

I have Diamond, though I haven't encountered a Flower Trap yet... I guess you should ask others since I'm not fond of the Underground...
