Anyone else thinks that Arceus was created to early?? Think about it, I mean, until now he doesn't even have an official artwork, he have no events yet, he's not in PMD2. Could it be that their showing him in the next gen (gen 5)??

It's just my thoughts though and I love to be proven wrong.

Well, I think they should have evened stories out before introducing "The Original One" All this Mew vs. Arceus argument makes me sick.

I actually don't believe an event for Arceus will be established this generation with Platinum. Possibly utilize another game to obtain it. (Seeing as they love that market wave these days) Arceus to me came too early, I don't see it's niche necessary just yet. They could have still given the "The Original One" books out and make us wonder about the future events and such. And we have to remember, there are billions of people out there who have no clue about Arceus' existence. So... depends.

The Mew vs. Arceus argument is pretty stupid, alright. Why do people jump to all sorts of conclusions with hardly any evidence?

I actually think that there will be an Arceus event around the time Platinum is released because I have the feeling that Arceus was created as a way of saying that Pokémon was finished. I don't think there'll be a fifth generation, how could there be after the God of all Pokémon has been released? I know there's no official artwork and I know that a lot of people don't know that the Pokémon in question exists, but I still think that it signifies the end of Pokémon. Of course, there'll still be new games and stuff, but I have a feeling that there won't be a fifth generation any time soon.

That's completely retarded. Plenty of Pokemon were kept under wraps before Nintendo officially acknowledged their existence (Deoxys and Jirachi? Don't forget Mew- not even Nintendo knew of its existence when Red and Green were released). However, all of their data was all in the game from the beginning- it's just that they were only available through hacking. Eventually, events for all of those Pokemon were released. Arceus is a fourth generation Pokemon, like Darkrai and Shaymin. Just because his existence hasn't been officially acknowledged, and just because official art hasn't been released, and just because Nintendo wants to keep him a surprise for at least some of the gaming world, DOES NOT MEAN HE WILL NOT BE IN D/P.

Platinum is being released in the fall (for Japan, at least). And since they're too busy with Shaymin, it's very unlikely.

Hahahaha no.

Pokemon is Nintendo's biggest cash cow ever. And that cow's best milk comes from the main generation of Pokemon games. Nintendo isn't ending Pokemon any time soon, trust me. So what if the God of all Pokemon was created? Nintendo can think of something else to make kids want to buy the latest game out there.

They managed to pull it off rather nicely after Mew, the "original" Original One. I bet there were even people who believed R/S/E to be the end, since Kyogre & Groudon were portrayed on a "god-like" level of strength. Rest assured, Nintendo WILL find a way to continue the games, to Generation 5 and beyond.

If nothing else, I would wager that Arceus gets rehashed in Generation V.

They will find away, you never know they may just create more gods or they could leave the whole "gods" idea and have the strongest Pokemon in the land kind of legend.

They will probably go for a legend and you with "magically" be the profercy

As long as Pokemon is one of Nintendo's "cash cows", there's no end in sight for Pokemon. We could have 10 generations, as long as Nintendo makes money off this, they'll keep making Pokemon

Yeah, you can tell its not planned because they are chucking out every single idea they have in each genertation, there were too many legendaires in D/P so maybe the desginers thought it was the last one they were doing.

I would be surpised too because I think theres got to be a limit of pokemon they can invent, I mean they have crossed over many types and based them on lots of diffrent creatures. I think they may just do new regions with maybe a new legendary and starters but no other new pokemon.

I wouldn't think so. I mean, look at the games. Ash isn't in one game since the beginning. So I'd think that the fanbase wouldn't stop watching because, like I said, Ash would win the championship, thus making way for someone else. It's not like they just stopped following him and went somewhere else.

That would be interesting, although they would probably want a more fiesty female lead - Misty. I don't think a co-ordinator would take over the lead because there are more gym events so therfore more of a storyline for a gym battler.

Mistys sisters may possibly return. It would be good to see Max start his journey because you could have cameos from Ash, Brock, May, Misty and Tracey which would be cool.
