35. Dragon experts

Location: Mt. Rokk - base

"...but it's just a kid, it can't be left here like this."

"They have come here, so I'd say they'd be able to leave again."

"Maybe you're right, but I don't feel like..."

"Ehh... Good morning. Can I help you?" you say, awoken by the discussion of the two people. You lift Scrambles from your lap in order to stand up. He's still asleep, how does he do that?

"To be honest, we were discussing whether you'll be fine here away from the city by yourself. What are you doing here?" the women asks you.

"Oh, I'm fine, don't worry, I have my friends here." You point at your Pokémon. "Currently, I'm looking for dragons. Do you perhaps know where to find them?"

"I just realized I haven't even introduced myself yet, how rude of me. I'm Alina and this is my husband Gregory, we travel the region for interesting nature facts. Our camp stood over there, but we'll be travelling further today, deeper into the forest." She kept silent for a short time, then seemed to remember again what she was talking about. "Dragons you said, hey? I know there's a few families of Noivern roosting on the top of Mt. Rokk, but you can't reach their nests by foot."

"No problem, I already have a Noivern." Wynia shrieked approvingly. "There's more dragons than that, right?"

"Yes, there is, but they all live in the northern parts of Raoga, I suggest you go to the Gonji Lakes, unless you want to go angling endlessly in the reefs on the northern coast. Greg, can you get me a map?"

"Of course, sweetheart." he replied, but came back quickly, obviously confused. "I can't find it, where has the thing gone?"

"Doesn't surprise me, you're just as messy as always." Then Alina directed herself towards you again. "Don't worry, we can take you for a ride, and drop you halfway there. You don't mind doing that, do you, Greg?"

"N-No, not at all, sweetheart."

Accept the offer?

3. Ask if you can join them on their trip, might be interesting.

Maybe this goes indeed to soft. I don't see how they could have know it was you, but who knows if they are going to find out when you are all voting to accept their presence?

Also, next chapter isn't appearing today, but will be there tomorrow. Maybe there'll appear more votes before I'm going to be absent for a while.
 
I might reconsider my vote if I'm not too lazy to think of an alternative. xD

(I have a bad feeling that something unpleasant might happen later on, but maybe it's just me haha.)

36. Chatter en route

Location: Mt. Rokk - base

"If you insist, I don't see why not? Dragons, here I come!"

"Alright, jump on the jeep, pal." Greg says, taking the driver's seat.

The trip seems to take longer than it actually does, because of the endless stories Alina rants about. Even about the most simple things, like how they rescued a Furret with a fishing rod, she can seemingly talk for hours. You only listen to her because you don't have anything better to do. You find out she and Gregory are biologists or something like that (you don't know what the words they describe themselves with mean), who were looking at the nutrition of the several Pokémon.

"...so you said you were looking for dragons. Myself I have never owned a dragon, taming them is very hard, or so my friend said lately. She said: 'Alina, you know what it is with dragons?' she said 'They are ferocious, even the small ones!' That's what she said! I mean, can you believe it? Take that cute little Noibat of yours, it's just a Zubat, even a fluffy one. I have seen so many Zubat, you see, you can't seem to find any cave in the entire Raoga that's not full of them. So that's what I said to her, 'What about Noibat?' Then she said to not underestimate them, they use their cutesy to distract others and when you least expect it, they strike. Those evil little masterminds! I suggest you should always keep an eye on yours or give them to experts to..."

Her husband interrupted her. "Sweetheart, your expertise is plants and grass Pokémon, what do you know about dragons? And Leana, I suppose she was the one that told you, is an artist. Anyway we're nearing the point where we will be separating our paths, pal. To reach the Gonji Lakes just follow the road to Lornami, then walk northwards. Any questions?"

Any questions?

2. "Is there anything interesting you have discovered in your field research?"
3. "Can you tell more me about other uses of fishing rods?"
4. "How to train my dragon?"

The next chapter can be expected in about 288 hours. I'll be away for a while, but can't exactly say when I'll be back. My apologies for a hiatus again.
 
#3 Might as well put our fishing rod to good use and maximize its potential.
