Pokémon Community 8

Eight years..........
Wow.
It's been a long time, PC.
 
Happy belated birthday PC. I got a bike for my 8th birthday many many years ago what does the PC get HHMMM.
 
Happy belated 8th birthday, PC! (I can't believe we 'forgot', though! XD :() The big 1-0 is coming up soon! :D

Anyway, cake and presents, yes?! :cer_boogie: Though I wonder how a forum actually "eats" cake... :\
 
The PokéCommunity forums have existed since waaaaaaaay back in 2002, during that time I'm sure it would've just been a simple forum with not many users on it. As The Unknown Dungeon was the website that supported PokéCommunity for quite some time. In September 2003, somehow PokéCommunity restarted for reasons which I do not know, since I was not around on PC at that time. 'Twas a long time ago that PokéCommunity had lived for, as I just wonder how PokéCommunity really looked like back in 2002? I would've been interested to see how it looked like back then... wouldn't it just be great if we could go back in time? Yes indeed, back to the time of 2002 of when the forums of The PokéCommunity was born on that day. I still wonder to myself why PokéCommunity was restarted in September 2003? Otherwise I could've done more research of PokéCommunity's past.

From what I've also researched from PokéCommunity's past... is the fact that a website called "The Unknown Dungeon" was removed from existence and TUD was no more. As when I first joined PokéCommunity, I noticed there was two community websites... which were "Seafoam Islands" and some other website which I forget now. Which makes me think if PokéCommunity will have it's own actual website where you will be able to do stuff and all that? Well I guess it might put some strain on the server however, but we cannot know what will happen ahead of time, as the past is all of the history. So who knows what is yet to happen with PokéCommunity? Will the server improve and become more stable? Or will it stay unstable for the rest of eternity? Only time will tell.

Well, I'd have to say, I came to PokéCommunity when I first heard about Pokémon Shiny Gold. And I couldn't download it unless I created an account, and so I did and my first ever username was PokémonShinySilver. When I first created my account, I didn't post or do anything. At that time there was no Visitor Messages or even the abbility to send friend requests. 'Twas only later that Visitor Messages and all that sort of stuff came around. But yeah, when I first created my account, you could send Private Messages and all that. Then of course... the time of when I first posted... which was on April the first, on the day in which the staff swapped everyone else that had supporter status or was an actual member to looking as if they were a staff member and all the staff just looked like members. I could never forget the great memories of the past. My first friend ever on PC was Kyle (chimchar9), which was the first ever person I ever met online. I also improved such a lot and learned from all the mistakes and problems that I had in the past. I remember back in 2008 when I first joined... and I was yet so immature, but I gradually learned from the terrible mistakes I did. After all... no one stops learning... as humans always learn something new every day, and nether will I stop learning. I just come to think of how I was like back in those days... wow... I've changed such a lot. As I'm nowadays getting around into seeking advise on how to ROM Hack in the 4th and 5th generation maps and stuff. I'm also getting rather active on PC as well.

Wow... it's hard to believe that we all forgot about PC turning 8 (well, not all of us, but some).

PokéCommunity has reached it's 8th anniversary! So I would like to congratulate PokéCommunity for staying around for eight whole years.

Eight years is quite a while.
Most people would think that a forum like this is more recent.
But being here since 2002 (Am I correct?). That's pretty remarkable!

Woow... 8 years. I remember running into PokeCommunity unexpectedly while looking at Shiny Gold roms and such, and I ran into here, and at first, I didn't want to join, and soon I want to join. :D
But anyhow, happy b-day, PC! ^_^
 
I can't imagine myself joining 8 years ago, I'd be one of those 'noob' posters you see floating around the emulation section.

Hopefully I'll be around to see another pc birthday.

I'm late, but happy 8th birthday, PokéCommunity! I hope that the forums will last long. And prosper, too!
 
The years feel like they are going by very fast. It still feels like Gen 4 started only yesterday.
