FireRed hack: Pokémon Fire Gold 1.4

Liking this a lot so far, just finished the Lighthouse and heading to get medicine.

I have a few questions though.

Can you catch all 386 pokemon in this? Also, is the Battle Tower functional, or are there plans to finish it? I know in Liquid Crystal it was never finished.

Also, and this is a super minor thing but, I've noticed a handful of typos. One of the trainers in the lighthouse said "Jasmine never smiles "there" days" - I think it was meant to be "these" days. Another npc in Olivine had a typo for the word friend, spelled as "firend" or something. Again, not a huge deal. Just something I'd noticed.

I played Liquid Crystal not too long ago and overall I'm liking this hack way more. It's nice to see proper updated sprites for the miltanks and Ampharos at the top of the light
house. Also the little pictures when entering caves or the well, or sprout tower were a nice touch.

Only issue I've noticed were the male rocket grunt npcs have glitched sprites when they're facing down or up.

1.5 is yet to be released, you probably saw updates of how the dveelop for version 1.5 is coming along.
 
Hi really hoping for some help. I've cleared the first 7 gyms and mahogany town, caught the red gyarados and cleared petrel and the broadcast station. But nothing is happening in goldenrod. There are no grunts to give me a disguise and I cannot progress. Help! Really enjoying the game so far would be a shame to end the run on a glitch

What emulator are you using? It could be an emulator related glitch
 
I'm super excited to play this once I've trimmed down my current backlog a little bit! 😊
If you don't mind my asking, is there a general expected release window for v1.5? I do want to wait for that since I know it's being worked on. It's not close, is it? Maybe around early 2025?
When I do see the update come out tho, I will at least start my run and try to get through a few gyms and do some grinding in my spare time!
But we all know you can't rush perfection, so I hope you and everyone working on this will take care of yourselves so that you can continue to give it your best! ^_^
If you can't give any information on release date, no worries, I will still be looking forward to it!
(I also understand that because then it's like giving yourself a deadline and people may get more impatient and bloodthirsty as it draws closer 😅 Like if it were me, I honestly would prefer not to have one so I can work freely lol)

Just wanted to leave a comment to let you know how awesome I think this romhack is and you are for workin on it, as well as to be in the know a little bit more when new info/version drops c:

I was really inspired by the idea of LGPE and I wanted to make Johto include a later generation feature. so here it is. It contains an original, original, original plot from Pokémon Crystal, where you travel through Johto and Kanto with many remade post-game contents. The game is an FR-based GBA hack.
16 gyms, Kanto and mt.silver are finished!
I do have future plans with the game so if you have solid suggestions, I am happy to hear.

Plots:
The player travels through the center region of Johto and Kanto, to defeat Gyms and battle against Team Rocket. Added in the post-game contents, players will also be able to rebattle gym leaders, encounter Celebi, and trade regional forms. Here're some sneak peaks from the game.

Heyo! I haven't gotten a chance to play this hack yet but I've seen nothing but great things about it and it seems like it's the closest to a Gen 3 version of vanilla Johto we'll get until CrystalDust comes out someday! While I haven't gotten a chance to fully play this game and get really into it, I have played to the character select and noticed that the female player character is Lyra instead of Kris. Will there ever be something like a small patch that does nothing else to the hack than replace Lyra with Kris for this hack? Sorry if this is just a nitpick thing - I've always been more of a Kris fan but if not I can try to look past that!

sorry for the late reply, im glad you have enjoyed so far

nope you cannot catch all the pokemon from hoenn, and we are not planning that feature since its not johto related

i will be sure to check out the typo! thanks for pointing them out! ( i still havent found the friend one)

im not sure what the glitches with the grunts are, can you be more specific?

hi, you need to make sure you have cleared all 7 gyms, and defeated ariana at the rocket team HQ
i havent seen a glitch reported anywhere regarding this, let me know if you have ran into anything otherwise
