Hello! I just beat Rank 15, and Professor Oak walked up and said a bunch of stuff. I was in a hurry so I spammed through the dialogue, and I'm wondering if he said anything important. What did he say?

Are mints available to change the nature or anything similar? Also, how do you swap abilities?
No mints in this game (yet, I'm collecting feedbacks). You can change Abilities using Ability Capsule available at Game Corner store.

**JOIPLAY WORKAROUND**

I am playing the game on my Samsung Tablet using JoiPlay. It has an unique take on Pokemon games and the city building aspect adds a twist of its own. Nice work.

After following all the steps mentioned in the OP, I ran into an error which isn't properly documented anywhere. The error is from "RPG Maker Plugin for JoiPlay" and is as follows:
Script 'PokemonSystem' line 106: Zlib::DataError occured.

invalid distance too far back

Versions:
Game: 2.2.4
JoiPlay: 1.20.540-patreon
RPG Maker Plugin: 1.21.00-patreon

The workaround I found:
After clicking the game icon, as soon as the Game-pad icons are shown, I press the Enter or Escape key and the game starts normally and then I am able to play without issue. This is not a 100% guaranteed to work but I have had a good success.

I have also faced:
1. A random exit the first time I tried the workaround and the title screen came up asking New Game and Options.
2. After fighting the hiker in the tunnel, I minimized the game and when I went back the game froze. I had manually close JoiPlay and start again. Good thing I saved before minimizing so didn't lost any progress and this was neither the 1st time when I minimized nor the last time. I haven't faced this again yet. I have placed for roughly 2.5 hours as of now.

Thanks for your workaround! Since I never had this error, I need people like you to know how to solve these issues.
Thanks for the praise.

It would be nice if you can look into this error and release an update with official fix. The reason I ask this is because while the workaround helps to bypass the issue but it's not a 100% success rate. Sometimes I end up doing it for 12-15 times before the game could start.

I don't know what is happening. To fix a bug, I need to know what is causing it and this a is very hard thing to know unless that I can reproduce the bug in a device here.

Searching for this error, I found some workarounds, not sure if they work for this game. I recommend trying these in this order (if one don't work, redo the step and try next one)

  1. Don't use mkxp-z (in options to run, use standard RPG Maker)
  2. "Use Miniz" setting.
  3. Add the attached file in the game folder (unzip it first).
