I don't think its a lie tho, I mean there has been progress lately.. so why not?

I've doubted this mods completion but I gotta admit there's some good progress. Hope all the texture bugs are fixed because in the alpha a lot of tiles kept distorting when you walked to/away from them. Good luck with Beta 1.

Its got to be an April fools joke, we're still waiting on Alpha 1.3 i can't believe that gogo has made all that progress without releasing 1.3.

All of the progress lately hasn't been towards the alpha or beta. I've been mapping and scripting only due to my free time schedule.

However, the bugs for 1.3 are clearly fixed if you all take a look at the bugs/downloads post. The maps are complete as well.

I agree, the timing does seem silly but we also agreed not to set release dates unless we were 100% complete, which we are at this stage. Stay tuned though.

Another note, we're scrapping multi-engine support, meaning we'll only have FireRed patches from here till the end. It's some patching concerns as well as legality concerns, however, I'll explain how to easily do it without failures with UPS.

So just FireRed patches now? I don't see why there was a Ruby and Emerald patch in the first place tho, when it's a FireRed hack.

The multi-engine support was originally intended for ease for the player, although due to the reasons I stated we'll force Fr patches on everyone from this point on.

No need to worry, I will actually be releasing a beta. plus i don't have steam since i don't play video games

Beta 1 is a much-requested release since the day the thread has been released and ever since. I think it's about time we get the ball rolling.

Get a clean, untouched rom of your choice and apply the ups patch that corresponds to it. Use a UPS patcher.

Fire Red patch (Use the rom dump "Pokemon Fire Red (U)(Squirrels)")- https://gogojjtech.com/platinum-red-and-blue/downloads/beta-1/

To patch, simply open the UPS patcher and follow these steps:
Download a clean rom of your choice and download the patch that goes with it.
Click "Apply Patch to an Existing File"
Where it says UPS Patch File to Apply, browse the patch file.
Next under that, browse for the clean rom.
Hit patch and enjoy!

If you receive a checksum error, your rom isn't clean and must be received 100% vanilla, or untouched. Since I am not allowed to post links to roms or tell you where to get them, it's on you to find a clean rom. Good luck!
