You know, this has become apparent to me:
Anytime Team Rocket shows up, Ash and them make such a big deal about it, giving them a hard time. But then when real villains(or remotely evil ones, due to the watered-down nature of the anime(bratty little kids.....)) show up, they whine about it, like it's impending doom. To put it shortly, they're emotional wrecks.
Oh, and Ash could always have a new pokemon get sent to Prof. Oak. His party may be full, but his PC is far from full.
