Needs to have max happiness at daytime for Espeon.

It didn't know any Fairy moves but interestingly, after walking with it a little longer, it evolved to Espeon. Is it possible that Espeon requires more friendship than Espeon?

is there issues with evolving an own tempo rockruff into dusk lycanroc? i've tried evolving it at 5-6 pm, 6-7 pm and 7-8 pm but it doesn't seem to be working. my rockruff is level 30 now, can it not evolve past 25 if you don't get it to level 25 during the correct time...? not too sure what i'm doing wrong

Now that I've beaten the whole game, a couple things to add.

1- in the item locations spreadsheet, you might wanna add that dragon scale can also be found as a held item on wild horsea.
2- my tm are all unlimited now? Have been for a while. Is this a bug? I first patched it on pc with the proper program (back on patch 1.0) but patch 1.2 I did on android via UniPatcher, with a clean emerald rom (the same I used for 1.0) and now my tms are unlimited use. It pretty much happened right after beating the elite 4 for the first time, so is this intentional? Or have I encountered a very nice bug?
3- you really might wanna do something about bag/pc storage space. I have no more room on the pc and maybe 3-4 slots on the bag since I started finding all the mega stones, and I haven't even got them all nor bought the ones on the mega stone shop. I don't think you can add a mega stone pouch or a mega stone container item, but something needs to be done.


I think that's it. The 2nd time elite 4 was rough, let me tell you. Super rough. Very good movesets, items, teamups, etc. I had a lot of fun and despaired a few times.

The thing is dude, the official games have always forced set style in double battles. I don't even know if it's possible to make double battles into switch style.

I can look into the code, I prefer the switch style anyway.

I was not referring switch style doubles.
What I meant was something like, if the game is set at "switch style", it will be single battles, and if the game is set at "set style" it will be doubles.

Ok, how do I get a runerigus? I thought I had to level up my yamask after it took 49 damage in battle.

You'll need the latest patch for Runerigus, I had to change the code for it to work. It should evolve immediately after battle taking 49+ damage. May have to be in a single attack. I've found some of the wild Tentacruel while surfing can do this.

Can I have the Pokémon list spreadsheet as well? Thank you.

Thanks a lot for this hack, I've been playing it for about a week or so EDIT : wait no, it's been more than 2 weeks ?!, and enjoying it so far ! I love the idea of exploring Johto a few decades later.
I'm Currently trying to fill the Pokedex (763 seen / 703 owned for now, thanks Sweet Scent and False Swipe!). I still have to rematch the Elite 4 so I know there's a couple of mons (legendaries I guess ? Maybe the other 2 starters ? I'll see once I beat it) that I can't access before beating them for the 2nd time.

A few things I noticed :
- Thanks to the 1.2 update, I don't have to grind as much as before. I'm still Unga-Bunga-ing my way through most of the time - I'm not a big strategy guy, but I enjoy the increased difficulty compared to "vanilla" Pokemon. The Elite 4 double fights are gonna be painful though.
- The Pokedex pages of Dunsparce and Woobuffet show incorrect locations in the "area" page ("area unknown" for Dunsparce instead of Dark Cave, and somewhere in the building before victory road instead of Dark Cave for Woobuffet).
- In the Pokenav, Lass Karen and Hiker Jerry are both said to be at "Safari Entrance", but they're not there.
- The update that put fossils in the "Key Items" pouch helped unclogging the bag, but I still have issues with bag space, my bag is almost full and so is my personal PC thanks to the mega-stones.
- While we are at it, it's not a big deal but when you talk to the guy that revives fossils, he asks which fossil you want to revive, and it's a list of all the fossils available in the game, not only the ones you have in your bag. If you select a fossil you don't have, he says you don't have it and you have to restart the whole dialog again, it's a little annoying.
- For the "items" spreadsheet, you could add that Metal Coat can also be found on wild Magneti (Route 38, thanks Banette for "Frisk" and Thief).
- The Braviary backsprite looks a bit weird, something about his eyes, but it's not a big deal.
- I can't use the PokéFlute, be it in battle or outside battles. Is it just a key item for a latter event ? Or is it a bug ?
- WHERE IN THE WORLD IS LUNATONE ? I've been searching it for 2 days in Mount Mortar (using 100 times "Sweet Scent" per room, to be sure not to miss anything, and yes I've been counting), and still nothing. I can find Solrocks easily, but no Lunatone in sight... Is it a day / night specific encounter ? Am I missing something ? Have I been cursed by the RNG gods ?
- I burst out laughing at the encounter in the nursing home on one of the islands (no spoiling for the others). I was not expecting that, very, very well played.

Lunatone is in the same section that Solrock is, just very rare.

Would just like to say thank you for such an awesome, nostalgic game, Sloo. I've been six gyms in using v.1.2 and so far enjoying it. The fact that there's lesser information (and cheats, AND experience points lol) makes this game worth the play and makes it feel like I'm playing Pokemon the first time again.

I'm just wondering too if you'd be adding the Gen 9 evolutions for Johtonian Pokemon in a future run? Would definitely be interested in using Faraigiraf, Annihilape, Clodsire and Dudunsparce in Johto.

Maybe at some point, I kind of want to merge back with the pokeemerald expansion since it has gen 9 pokemon and moves now.

If your emulator doesn't support the RTC, then a lot of time based events won't work. Do you get the "battery has run dry" message?

Looks like Alolan Ratatta only evolves at night.

I had issues making TMs reusable about a year and a half ago, but don't remember what went wrong.
I can expand the bag capacity to 320, but have to make more space in the save data which will make it so nobody can keep their save files at all. May do this, but it will be later.

Finished my second playthrough with a Mono-Ghost type team, and had a great time! I Although, I do feel that expanding the number of items the bag can hold would be a good move as I found myself tossing out items when my PC got filled up. Eagerly waiting on the Nature mints update!

In my typical fashion, I've kept the development of this game well hidden. Nevertheless, this is a complete game with 8 badges, and plenty of post game content. This is not a remake of Gold and Silver, but a sequel with an entirely new story.
Fair warning – The gym leaders use items and some setup moves making this game moderately difficult, but not impossible. If you defeat all available trainers before each gym, and use a little strategy, you should be fine.

Synopsis

Bugs
- Game freezes after falling down with Oliver in the Ruins of Alph: Fixed in v1.1 patch
- Hisuian Zorua and Hisuian Voltorb currently don't evolve. Fixed in v1.1 patch
- Galarian Weezing (maybe others too?) seems to break double battles a little (the sprites will flip around some, not game breaking, but looks funny)
- Mega evolution symbol will stay on screen after the mega pokémon has fainted sometimes. Goes away after battle, or if you view your other pokémon
- In the multi double battles, if all of your teammate's pokémon faint, it may not let you switch
- Galarian Yamask can't currently evolve to Runerigus. Fixed and re-uploaded v1.2 patch 7/3/24 (Galarian Yamask just needs to sustain 49+ damage in battle, uses max HP - current HP formula).

Download
Current version attached below as a zipped UPS patch. Apply to a clean Pokémon Emerald rom, Emerald (U) (TrashMan) using NUPS patcher preferably.

If you are on an older patch, you should be able to keep your save file!
Make sure to keep your .sav file, and replace the .gba file with a new one that was patched to a clean emerald rom. Also make sure the new .gba file has the same name as the old one.
