FireRed hack: Pokémon: The Ruby Dagger Murders

I totally can't wait to play this game - it sounds really unique and fun!! I love this type of plot in any game, story, show, etc. I know this will be totally awesome. ^^

Yeah it's Erin. I keep confusing it because we're using the Erica sprite for her at the moment. Also, the "the vs these" thing. The character is talking about the specific police at their compound at the moment. And I don't know what happened to the purple roofs in Plum Town. I didn't do anything with them and didn't notice anything changed until you said something. Also, new screen shot:

Alright, time to reveal a little of the two main villains of the game:

Name: Helios
Affiliation: Apollo Gang
Age: Assumed to be between 17-19 years old
Back Story/Appearance: Little is known due to their evasion of the authorities for so long. Prime suspect in the Ruby Dagger Murders though no solid proof exists to make a connection. Of the twins, he's considered to be the more brash, aggressive, and quick-tempered. His Pokemon specialize in brute strength. Fondness for attractive people, loud music, day time, and gambling.

He is considered attractive by societal standards: boy-next-door charm, blond hair, and baby blue eyes. Wears a white, hooded robe with a sun insignia on the front. Moderately muscular and clearly athletic.
Pokémon Specialties: Pokemon with High Attack, Special Defense and Defense Stats; Fire-, Fighting-, Ground-, and Grass-types
Known Pokémon at the Beginning of the Game:

Name: Selene
Affiliation: Hecate Gang
Age: Assumed to be between 17-19 years old
Back Story/Appearance: Like her twin brother Helios, little is known of her history. She too is presumed to be involved in the Ruby Dagger Murders, but no evidence so far completes this connection. Unlike her brother, she is cool, intelligent, but tends to act out in vengeance. She likes cold temperatures, playing piano, night time, and swimming.

Much like her brother, she was blessed with good looks: long blond hair and blue eyes. She wears a black robe with a blue moon insignia on the front. Thin and taller than her brother.
Pokemon Specialties: Pokemon with high Special Attack, HP and Speed stats; Water-, Ice-, Dark- and Ghost-types
Known Pokémon at the Beginning of the Game:

Lunatone
Nidoqueen

Expect sprites soon~

While it appears there are two gangs, they are actually just two branches of the same gang. All followers of the Apollo Gang are female and vice versa for the Hecate Gang. (If you didn't know, Apollo was the God of the Sun in Greek/Roman Mythology and Hecate was the Goddess of the Moon/Underworld/Hunting which depended on what form she was in). There are also eight Admins of the gang that will serve as the Gym Leaders in the game. Contrary to what I said earlier, the Admins will not be constricted to a specific type. Each Admin will have a them to his/her Pokémon.

My friend specializes in both, but he's difficult to motivate to get work done with. So hopefully OW/In-battle sprites will be done.

Don't expect a beta until at least 1/3 of the game is done. Right now, I'd say around 1/16th is done.

I've been writing up profiles for the numerous characters appearing in the game. Since I don't have any mapping/scripting to update on the moment, I'll give you a further peek into the workings of the Apollo & Hecate gangs:

Name: Vladimir
Affiliation: Hecate Gang
Age: 26-30 years old
Back Story/Appearance: At one point, Vladimir was a prolific children's entertainer with his own daily television show. His humor drew not only the young, but found a niche amongst adults as well. Unfortunately for Vladimir, an encounter with a crazed fan sent him into a spiral that engulfed the once timid performer into a life of crime. His last show featured a changed man: a ranting, sadistic maniac who pulled one of his male assistants on camera and pummeling the poor man with a toy hammer.

Though taken into custody by authorities, he was able to use the numerous tricks he had under belt and slipped away. A mad clown was reported being spotted performing numerous robberies with his Pokemon & bag of tricks, each robbery more of spectacle than the last.

Then, he disappeared for a few months, and returned later under the guise of a Hecate Gang Leader. Armed with grunts, his crimes grew more excessive and his reputation as a criminal blotted out his once bright history.

Decked out in a typical harlequin outfit (not my art by the way), his clown-ish appearance is perfect for disguising his devilish behavior.

Name: Kelsey
Affiliation: Apollo Gang
Age: 20 years old
Back Story/Appearance: Unlike other members of the Apollo & Hecate Gangs, Kelsey's history is well known to the public. Before joining the gang, she was the headline-grabbing daughter of one of the wealthiest families in Essia. Her antics with her best friends: the LaRachiele Twins Marek and Cornelia had the public absorbed with both disgust and awe. However, Kelsey's life was shattered with the disappearance of her best friends.

A year ago, the two twins set for a weekend at their retreat in the mountains to the west. However, they never arrived at their retreat and all contact with them was lost. The only remnants found was the bloodied car they were traveling in and their cell phones smashed into pieces. Then, a few months later, Kelsey disappeared, presumed by many to have left the continent to go to Kanto where her family had a compound, overcome with grief.

To the surprise of all, Kelsey reappeared in the national headlines, but this time, not for her partying ways: she was now one of the eight gang leaders of the Apollo & Hecate gang. With her highly trained Pokemon and hopelessly devoted grunts, she was found to be committing numerous crimes across the continent. No one knows what motivated this wealthy heiress to a join a crime syndicate.

Brunette, green eyed, and always wearing an emerald dress. Tan and bedecked in diamonds, she adds a sense of "fabulousness" to a rather brutish gang.
