Emerald hack: Pokémon: Wings of Chaos [NEW UPDATE ALPHAv2.6 (v2.5 with bug fixes)]

One of the trainers you fight at the woods will reference that they were looking around for the card. The card is a hidden item but it should be relatively easy to spot

Currently it's the custom "shadow" type we have, meaning it takes 1x damage from all types. This may be subject to change in the future though
Also, the bike path to lumine is still not done? Like not finished?

The current build only plays up to the first island, so unfortunately after you get the bike the "demo" ends there

We're currently working on the next island rn plus a bunch of extra QoL stuff, prettier UI stuff, more sidequests, and new content like regional mons, don't want to put a date on how long it'll take yet but there'll definitely be double the content than this current build of it

where do you find barboach? But still a really great game so far.
It can be found with the fishing rod in Cheriport currently

Apologies to everyone for the long delay without much updates, it's been pretty busy 4 us collectively in general but am slowly making progress in the next patch 🥲

Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong, but something seems off with the fishing. Bought the super rod just outside of camp persi, and it seems pretty difficult to land a catch. Was the difficulty on fishing increased or changed in anyway?

Currently playing now, and seems like all moves only give 1/2 damage against this mightyena? Get the "not every effective" prompt with all moves. Was there a change to this?

Nah, that's just how fishing with the super rod was back in Gen 3. It's essentially a timing game where you have to constantly press "A" only once when you get the "Oh, a bite!" prompt until it says a Pokemon's on the hook. It can take like anywhere from a single time to multiple times before a catch. They changed it in later generations where you just wait once for each tier of rod

Why not making original character design for the protagonist i think that will be more suitable for new region
That will be one of our additions for the next update :]

It's been a while, so I don't quite remember of the Mightyena takes NFE damage from all types or not, but in our coming "1.5 update" Mightyena's typing will be changed a tad bit

Sorry for anyone who's been waiting for an update with the game for a while; the three of us have gotten unfortunately pretty busy and it's been a bit rough getting the next island and part of the story out, as it's the largest of the main islands to work on for us. We've added quite a lot of content to the game since then while also working on the new island, and currently the plan is for us to release a midway update in hopefully the next month or so, including but not limited to:

* Updated protagonist sprites
* General overworld sprite overhaul
* New trainer classes and sprites
* Gen 9 Pokemon and mechanics
* New Maryan Regional Forms
* Hidden Grottoes
* Day/Night Cycle that affects encounters, backgrounds, music, and NPCs
* Auto-Run feature
* Level Caps
* QoL features such as Move Tutors, Mint Vendors, and more!
* Revamped Follower System
* Pokecenter equipped with a Time Changer, Move Relearner, Move Deleter, and Name Rater for convenience

Big thanks and appreciation for all that have been patient waiting for an update, we'll try and get the 2.0 update out as soon as we can, but in the meantime, are are a few screenshots of what we have been working on:

It's been a long time since our last update (the beginning of this year), but we managed to get this out before the end!

In terms of changes, you can see the previous post that res had made (the post before this one) among others that are also in the main post. Our goal for this update is mainly to improve the player experience across island 1 and standardize the experience for the next island. We hope that this update hits the mark!

We may have another patch planned after this one, as we wanted to get something out before the year ends.

Happy holidays~

Happy holiday and thank you for for keep the game alive

Nice to see Nature mints being implemented! Will there also be a way to change your Pokemon's IV's?
There will be, but it will appear later. We are still doing a lot of work balancing the early game fights, and being able to change IVs from the getgo makes balancing a lot harder. If you might be interested, the hidden grottoes recently introduced have Pokemon have perfect IVs (+ some egg moves).

Forget to said, hope in future the game can be played on other emulator and console other than lemuroid. For some reason the game can only run for lemuroid for me

Unfortunately, with the way pokeemerald-expansion (the base rom that we are using) is implemented, there are a lot of changes that makes so called "inaccurate" emulators (like my boy!) not able to run this game as well as other hacks that use pokeemerald-expansion.

As much as we would like to fix it (I myself used to use my boy a lot), it's largely out of our control unless we want to overhaul the entire pokeemerald-expansion codebase, which is a massive amount of work.

Lemuroid, like you mentioned is a good alternative, but we officially support mGBA (available on PC, available on Android through RetroArch).

Can't wait for the next part!

Just want to say, that when you step on the tile that triggers the Aggron battle after you already did the event, it brings the event back up. I fought it about 8 times to level up lol.

We actually just fixed this in our latest (very small) micropatch!

Been a while and finally able to try the update. Love the new protagonist design. Trying to introduce the game to my friends but he can't play because retroarch not available in their android and they think hassle to play in pc, little bit down knowing many people can't enjoy same thing things that i like ( I'm type of person who love share hobby). Regardless of it still enjoyable game for me with the update. The story pacing little bit too fast at the end of the demo but once again still enjoyable. Thank you for the update
