Debating competition - DEFINITELY!!! I'm assuming the creative writing and essay ones will go somewhere in the FanFictions, but I hang around there...

Well, if you want ideas then I've got one for the big debate: Which Pokemon game is the greatest? People can debate for RBGY, GSC, RuSa or FRLG... Well, that's about it at the moment, I'll probably think of more ideas after school today.

Well, if they just say things like that, then they're not very good debaters are they? Maybe you should put a "How to debate" Guide just before the debate starts or something so that the newbs or people who can't debate can see how debating should be done or something... Meh, I've got school in half an hour, tests and everything... my brain just doesn't seem to be working today...

PC got a tendency to skip all forms of introduction, rules or any thing regarded to reading, and jump right into posting...

Proof? In MOTM there are still people voting 4 people in a category. Sometimes there are people who vote someone more than 4 times. In one of my threads where I said specifically not to post there because I'm trying to assemble a FAQ, but then there are people who refuse to read the first line of bold text and jump right into posting.

Debate = sadly not too suitable for PC... plus it's chaotic to debate with 30 people on at once

I think a pok?mon karaoke competition is a great Idea. I was also thinking about having a scary and a funny face competition. It would require members have a digital camera or a scanner. But how cool would it be to see all your friend with showing their scariest or funniest face to win the "grand prize"?.

But how cool would it be to see all your friend with showing their scariest or funniest face to win the "grand prize"?.

I would love that... I would so win with my picture at Halloween. It even scared my parents once it showed up on the computer, and if I edit it with fangs... who knows what I could do. What would be the grand prize for winning?

For the writing competition, can I use the story I used for the last Get-together? You never even said who won for that one. x.x The story was about a place that I made up in the Pokemon world. It had some characters from the TV show too.

The first formal essay I had to write for grade eight was 5 pages. @_@ 5 paragraphs is nothing, lol~ I do like the idea of an essay-writing contest, though. ^_^;

frosty has a very good point about the debates, though. Considering some people, whom you would fully expect to read rules and follow them, can't even follow the simple rules of MOTM voting... and considering how many people can't maturely handle a debating topic now - how can we know that a debate would be carried on maturely when there are twice the amount of members participating at once. Seems kinda chancey to me, now that I think about it. :\
