Congratulations Student
On behalf of Hope's Peak Academy I am pleased to congratulate you on the invitation to attend this next school year. As you may know, Hope's Peak Academy is the most exclusive program in all of the regions and we have accepted only the most talented trainers since our founding in 1965. We were very impressed with your skills and abilities and gladly chose you from our pool of potential students to enroll in our fall program.
In order to ensure your official enrollment into our fall program, please fill out and return the enclosed forms no later than August 15, 2015. Receiving the necessary information as soon as possible will help us facilitate your enrollment. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Our telephone number is (XXX)XXX-XXXX and our email address is [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you.
We are delighted to accept you into our fall program and feel confident that you will make a wonderful addition.
Yours sincerely,
The Hope's Peak Faculty
Congratulations trainer on being accepted to Hope's Peak Academy!
Hope's Peak is a prestigious high school for gifted trainers who have shown promise for greatness. It is said that the classes at Hope's Peak are challenging and difficult, but that anyone who successfully graduates is practically guaranteed success as a trainer. Past graduates now hold positions as Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, and even holding high positions in various powerful companies.
You, trainer, have caught the attention of the scouters of the school, and have been recognized as one of the best. Perhaps it's your skill in battling, or maybe your intelligence. It could be your knowledge in breeding, or your talents in creating useful inventions to be used by trainers worldwide. To achieve such things is quite impressive by a trainer not even graduated from high school.
Of course, it would be fun to enjoy your time at Hope's Peak as a normal student, as normal as it gets at that school. But it is not to be. Shortly after your arrival at the school, you are thrust into a world of torture and despair beyond anything you have ever experienced. Will you prevail? Or will you lose your hope and fall into despair?

THE GAME
Congratulations on being thrust into a fun murder spree survival game! To escape from the high school, the rules are simple.
You must kill another student and get away with it.
Shouldn't be too difficult, right? So what will you do? Will you succumb to the urge to escape, and murder a classmate? Or will you persevere through the perverse game you have been thrust into and discover the reason for your captivity?
Its up to you. Just understand the risks. Of killing. Of being killed. Of dying. Of living.
Every time a classmate is murdered, there will be a trial. You as a roleplayer will have the job of gathering clues around the school and determining who the killer is. For the first couple murders it will be STRONGLY ENCOURAGED not to kill someone. There are 11 other NPCs to do killing for a while until you get a hang of the system.
After all of the clues have been gathered, all the students will be called together and a trial will be held to determine who the murderer was. If you can successfully solve the mystery and discover the murderer, then the culprit will be "punished". If not, then the culprit will be set free from the high school, and the rest of the class will be "punished". Be careful of who you point fingers at, it could mean the end of your life.
RULES
- No Godmodding/Bunnying - Don't control other people's characters. Its rude and annoying.
- Activity. Posting regularly is something I strongly encourage. 3 posts a week would be preferable, but at least 1 per week. If something comes up, please send me a message to let me know.
- This RP is rated M for Mature. There will be blood, some gore, probably swearing, and some adult themes.
- Romance is fine, don't go past 1st base.
- Please no Metagaming. Keep most of your mystery discussion in the thread or OOC. Just remember that others you are roleplaying with might be playing you. Trust yourself, not necessarily everyone else.
- If you decide to use CSS in your posts, make it light text on a dark background, or dark text on a light background. Also please be consistent. Don't be constantly changing you layout.

Dorm Rooms:
Each dorm room is fundamentally the same. Each consists of a single bed, one circular table with a potted plant on top of it, a small trash can with a can liner (plastic bag), a simple wood desk, a single chair, a small bedside table, and a bathroom. Each bathroom is equipped with a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Girls bathroom doors come equipped with locks, the boys do not. Inside each bedside table a gift has been left for all students. Boys tables have a basic tool kit in the drawer, girls have an embroidery set.
Underneath each bed is an extra set of sheets and an extra pillow. There is also a lint roller to clean clothes and dirty surfaces of hair. Each room also has a surveillance camera located in one corner above the bedside table. Any attempt to cover or remove the camera will be met with repercussions.
Class A1: Its a basic classroom. There is a green chalkboard along one wall with about twenty desks lined in orderly fashion facing the front of the room. A few papers are scattered on the floor and some desks, but the room is orderly for the most part. A half drawn type advantage chart is written on the blackboard, but the rest is filled in incorrectly with atrocious child like handwriting.
Class A2: It is a basic classroom. There is a green chalkboard along one wall with about twenty desks lined in orderly fashion facing the front of the room. A few papers are scattered on the floor and some desks, but the room is orderly for the most part. There is a creepy drawing of some pokemon resembling a Mew on the blackboard, but it seems to be only half colored in, and one of the eyes looks somewhat disturbing.
Foyer: What should be a welcoming friendly area at the front of the school resembles more of a bank vault. Industrial style lighting hangs from the ceiling illuminating the mostly gray room. Massive steel plates appear to be securely bolted overtop of where the windows should be. In place of a door there is a large circular vault like door secured tightly with what seem to be machine guns with cameras mounted on each side of the door as if to keep anyone from tampering with it. Several surveillance cameras are placed in corners of the room. There is a receptionist's desk on one side of the room, although apart from some blank papers strewn across it, it appears to be empty.
Cafeteria: It is a normal high school cafeteria. There are four long tables in the center of the room with a dozen more smaller circular tables around the fringes of the room. There are a couple surveillance cameras in corners of the room.
Kitchen: It looks like the kind of kitchen you would find at a restaurant or something. There is a large preparation table in the center with drawers underneath containing tools and bowls. Several ovens and stoves line the walls, as well as large cabinets and refrigerators containing a plethora of ingredients. A walk in freezer contains yet more food. Utensils of all sorts are kept in containers on a few of the shelves, and there are a couple knife racks holding knives of all kinds.
Garbage: The garbage room consists of two sections. The first section is a small section in the front containing little of value, save for a single metal hatch in the floor. The hatch has a small handle indented into the floor as well as a keyhole just below the handle. The second section of the garbage room is blocked off by a metal grate, the kind you see in malls and such. Beyond the grate there is a garbage chute and an incinerator, as well as a mulcher used to create fertilizer from biodegradable waste products. Garbage duty is given to one student per week who is given a key to open the grate.
Laundry: A dozen washing machines are lined up on one wall and dryers on the other wall laundromat style. Two benches run along the center of the room a couple feet apart. On the far wall from the entrance there is a shelf containing various detergents and softeners.
Bathhouse: The bathhouse contains three rooms total. The first room is a small locker room. Lockers have keys located in each lock which can be taken out and kept. There is little else of interest here. The second room is the bath itself. There is a large communal bath area in the center filled with steaming water. The third room is a sauna big enough for a half dozen people at a time. The sauna has a temperature control gauge on one wall. There are no cameras in the entire bath house.
Weight Room: The room is filled with various workout machines, from treadmills and stationary bikes to benchpresses and other more complicated machines. The machines are arranged in a rough semicircle along three walls of the room, the fourth wall being taken up by various free weights like barbells, medicine balls, etc. The center is kept clear, having a sort of floor pad on the ground that has a somewhat squishy surface. Perhaps to be used for wrestling or some other activity.
Boys/Girls Changing Rooms: Leading into the weight room, each changing room has a few dozen lockers along the walls. These lockers lack actual locks. A couple benches are in the middle of the locker portion of the room. There is also a small area with a communal shower, several shower heads poking out from the walls. There is little else of note in this room.
Gymnasium: The gym is a mostly open area with wood flooring. Basketball hoops are hanging from an apparatus on each side of the gym and bleachers line three of the walls (including the wall with the entrance). The other wall has a curtain which hangs down before it. The curtain is pulled back to each side revealing a stage with a podium on top of it, no doubt to make school announcements and to be used for assemblies.
Gym Storage: Various gym related equipment is located here. Items range from various balls, goals, hockey and lacrosse sticks, hockey pucks, and other more obscure items that no doubt have some purpose.
Elevator: A red doored elevator is located next to classroom A1. The control panel on the right side of the door seems unresponsive and the door remains closed.
Stairs: There is a double set of stairs directly across from the atrium leading upwards. The stairs are blocked off by some sort of metal gate, similar to what might be found in shopping malls when closed. They appear to be reinforced and can't be pried open.

Questions
Spoiler:
Q: How do I kill someone?
A: Send me a PM and we can talk about possibilities. Again though, it would be better to wait just a bit until you understand the system.
Q: What if nobody wants to kill anybody?
A: There will be plenty of NPCs to start with to do some dying. It may be that even after all is said and done no player actually kills another player, although I wouldn't count on it.
Q: How do I get clues?
A: Every time there is a murder I will provide each player with a list of clues via PM. It is your responsibility to investigate these clues. You can choose to divulge them in a post, or not. Its up to you. Keep in mind that not every character will get the same list of clues, and there may be red herrings as well.
Q:What if we guess wrong during a trial?
A: Well that would be very unfortunate, now wouldn't it? I would advise not doing that.
Q: How active do I have to be/What quality of post?
A: I'm looking for posting at least a few times per week, and each post being at least 3-4 paragraphs. More is preferably better, and remember that a paragraph consists of 3-5 sentences. I'm not asking for War and Peace, but I do ask for quality.
Q: What if I want to drop out of the roleplay?
A: If you think you might not have enough time to roleplay in the future, then don't apply. If for whatever reason real life starts requiring more time than you have to give, send me a message about wanting to leave the roleplay and I will take over your character and they will essentially be an NPC. If you find that you have time to roleplay sometime later, I would welcome you back, although your character may no longer be living. So please keep that in mind.
Q: Where did you get this idea?
A: It came from a game for PS Vita called Dangan Ronpa. It has the much of the same premise. Please don't look it up too much as the RP and the game do share a few plot similarities. I wouldn't want to spoil you to any plot twists.
