    [PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon Art Academy

Learn to Draw Your Favorite Pokémon in Pokémon Art Academy for Nintendo 3DS! This Pokémon-themed installment of the Art Academy series offers Pokémon fans and budding illustrators alike 40 unique lessons to learn how to paint, sketch, and draw beloved Pokémon characters in 2D. Then, students may save their digital masterpieces to the Nintendo 3DS Camera to share with the world. Along the way, students of Pokémon Art Academy can pick up actual illustration skills that they can use for real-world applications on canvas or for their own comic strips.

Wield the stylus with precision on the Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 2DS Touch Screen to use a plethora of paint, pencils, and pastels. Pokémon Art Academy has easy-to-follow lessons with step-by-step guides that teach painting and drawing techniques. A friendly tutor takes students of all ages through these lessons, each of which breaks down complex-looking images into simple steps. Gradually, they'll pick up more new techniques that allow anyone to create artwork they can be proud of. Pokémon Art Academy boasts 40 lessons in which players can encounter favorite Pokémon, including Pikachu, Oshawott, Charizard, Torchic, Fletchling, Fennekin, and many more!

Anyone feel like sharing their pictures? Im too shy, but I love looking at other peoples! The Miiverse Community for this is probably my favourite to go through.

I thought this was gimmicky at first but it's a quality title in its own right. I like that you're on a journey to become a Pokemon Trading Card Game Artist, it ties the whole thing together! Every time the friend unveils his latest picture I laugh out loud, they're so brilliantly rubbish!

Although they haven't released any downloadable content for a while I like the way they're supporting this game with Miiverse and the recent competion they had.

I also haven't played this game. I possess no artistic talents lol. However, it did better than I thought it would. I always hear how people enjoy it and how fun it is. So thats good to hear :)

I've never been good at drawing with a stylus, but I think this game is helping me get better a little bit at a time.

I haven't tampered around with Free-Paint mode much. I've only done these two so far. The first one is fan art of CascadeGonpory's Porygon.GAMMA (Fakemon) and the second is obviously Mew (based on its classic artwork that had darker tips on its toes and tail).

    Spoiler:

I've also finished all the lessons (excluding mini lessons) before Graduate, but most of those aren't worth posting. Here's my favorite of those, though:

First typing, and now drawing!? What will Pokémon teach next?

But seriously, I don't think I'll ever be getting this. I'm like nearly everyone else in this thread, no talent with art whatsoever.

KKN, those are amazing! Thanks for sharing!

I've no talent for drawing but that doesn't really matter in this game as the experience is enjoyable and with the pictures in the lessons you can just trace and colour in! In the free paint mode you can make it as simple or professional as you like and even if it's not technically good it's cool to see it as part of a Trading Card and as long as you've had fun that's all that matters as no one else has to see it!

I've got a long way to go, but I'm glad you like 'em. :)

As a faker, I usually take the TCG part a little bit farther by making more detailed cards with them in Photoshop like so:

I'm really hoping that they do another card illustration contest, as I didn't have the game during the first one. I just hope I'm better by that time so I might actually have a chance of winning...

Aww, this sounds like such a neat game...idea...thing.

Although I don't have a copy of it myself (and not willing to buy it right now) to be able to share any pictures. :P But I get the feeling I might actually enjoy it a bit if I did have it.

    (Awesome pictures, by the way!)

Oh my gosh that's beautiful! Looks just like the real thing, you could make your own decks with Fakemon!

I'd like to learn the standard/Sugimori arts, not uh... Pikachu with an over-rounded head. :( So no, definitely not playing this game. But kids might love this series.
