    Hi. Im Wok. Im really new in this forum, and i have an idea for hack, and i named
    it as Bug'z.

    Story: The hoenn is the true one.(no change in town names,pokemon names,no sinnoh pokemon ...)And there is some new changes :
    - Team AntiBug , what want eleminate all bugs from the world. A grunt attacks you at the Petalburg Woods first and its report you to its Boss, named Asus.
    - New Elite Four and Champion.
    - New rival: Wok (me :)) who use the dragontype.He uses pokémons as slave,and dont know about love and trust.But when you defeat is several times, Wok are a powerfull trainer in the ends, and starts love its pokémon.
    - Some new events (deoxys, lugia,ho-oh, mew,mewtwo)
    - New leaders, and gym types.
    - Old players (Steven,ash,brock)
    - New starters (Heracross,Scyther,Pinsir)

    ok, this just seems like your everyday basic Ruby hack.
    You are just editing the maps, and changing the names of the team.

    And why would you put yourself as your rival? and dragontypes? The bugs will get murdered.
    Plus, the starters seem kinda weird, as they all have amazing stats (scyther has the highest stats for a first stage pokemon), so, isn't that kinda bad to have as starters?

    Yeah, sounds like a good start, but, as itman mentioned, bug Pokemon are not great starters.

    Yeah, they are good, but after like, the second badge, players are going to want to switch to a different Pokemon and will most likely abandon their starter, which defeats the purpose of a starter Pokemon.

    I don't know, maybe make new starters (or ask some people for help?) with new stats and different evolutions so they don't evolve at like level 8?
     
    I really like bug Pokémon and think they are really underrated, the problem with your choice of starters is with scyther, heracross and pinisr, although they may seem to be counterparts, Scyther evolves while the others don't. With your second idea, caterpie and weedle are not counterparts to wurmple as wurmple may evolve into either silcoon or cascoon. (Please ignore the fact that I didn't capitalise the Pokes names, I'm typing really fast and I really couldn't be bothered.)

    Perhaps a more logical group of bug starters may be Combee, Surskit and Kricketot as they all have two-stage evolution and all evolve around the same levels.
     
    I think they are good starters (and strong too)
    But you need to change scyther so that it evolves into scizor by level up

    Or you could just change the starters again

    Ledyba, Spinerak, and Surskit?

    I don't think there should be two Pokémon that are Bug/Flying in the starter's evo i.e. Ledian and Masquerain
