    Hey!

Well, we see that the graphics have improved a lot, but how about the sound, do you think that the will improve the pokemon cries? like to replace them with the anime ones, because the cries right now are kinda... weird, yeah.... weird, it doesn't saound like an actual animal/pokémon, the cries sound like bad made computer sounds, so do you think GF will improve this?

The Generation I cries in particular were bad. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there were only 34 actual clips of cries (none of which were very unique, and all very artificial-sounding) and those 34 cries were spread out among all 151 Pokemon from that generation.

I have noted that the quality of the cries of more recent Pokemon has improved, but I wouldn't mind to see the cries of old Pokemon to be improved, either.

Two pairs of Generation I Pokémon share the same cry, despite not being related by evolution. These are:
    Charizard and Rhyhorn
    Poliwag and Ditto

Well I actually like their cries, I'd be pretty pissed off if all I said was my name xD

Ugh.. I agree that Pokemon should all get upgraded cries, but not like the anime. That whole saying their own species name just get's on my nerves after a while. Now It is okay for a couple of species to talk that way, like Pikachu for example, but not ALL of them.

If I recall correctly Mew also shares the same cry with Paras while it's clone share's it with Parasect... two legendaries sharing the same cry as bugs possessed (well beginning to be with Paras) by a fungus...creepy...

Yeah they should update the cries for generation 1 pokemon at least. However those who are blind (there are blind fans who can play and enjoy pokemon) and depend on the cries might get confused by the sudden change.

As if they wouldn't be confused between Pokemon with the same cries, anyway...

I noticed that Pokemon cries changed significantly in generation 4. Beforehand they just sounded like a random, low-grade noise.
After, we got completely ridiculous nosies for most cries. Take Purugly and Skuntank for example. Strange cries.
It would be cool if they just put Pokemon voices in there, like Pikachu said "Pikachu" and such. But I think that will take up too much time.

I don't think Game Freak is going to change from the cries made by computer sounds to the anime ones, 'cause the games have a different kind of pattern to what the anime does. Because it's now on the Nintendo 3DS, I would expect the computer sounds of Pokémon cries to improve for the new Pokémon, while they contain all the old Pokémon cries from the past as well.

I remember how Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Stadium 2 had alternate cries from the games on the GameBoy, and they were more improved versions. It would be nice if they were implemented, but I don't see that happening anytime in the future.

Hmmm yes, improved cries would be great! You know what would be really cool! If you could hear how the Pokemon's names are meant to be pronounced, so you don't have to trawl through the internet to find it. I've had so many arguments with friends that were never settled because we couldn't be bothered finding it on the net.

The pokedex 3d pro does just that.

To be honest, I'd prefer simple let pleasurable 2-D cries like from Gen 1, imo. But, since it's a new hardware to work with, I can easily see them tweaking the pokemon cries a bit. They can tweak the sounds to resemble their 3-D aspect... if that makes sense. Like, eg, as said above, like the Pokemon Stadium games. I'd like them to try and make their cries similar to real life anime sounds if possible!

well maybye for example a dinosaur like cry fo tyranitar or a wolf like one for mightyhiena, idk something like that

I don't want the Pokemon to scream out their own names!!! It's really lame.
I rather hear improved animal sounds, but I don't pay much attention to the Pokemon cries anyway.

As long as they're reasonable, I don't have a problem. I'm not really sure, but for some reason Gen V cries sounded weird to me at first. I think it was because they all sounded like variations of the same cry, like maybe one was higher pitched, another was choppy? They sound alright now but I remember that they definitely sounded weird to me at first, so I hope these sound around normal. ^^

I think in the trailer, you can hear Yveltal/Skybacon's cry. It's during the CGI part where it spreads its wings.
If that's its cry, I think Pokemon cries might be a little more advanced sounding than the last ones.

I don't want to hear Pokemon saying their name :( Most I wanna hear is normal cries, idm if they don't improve on the earlier ones as long as X/Y's are much more awesome than what you'd expect. Actually I don't really mind that either just as long as the Pokemon aren't saying their names, it might feel a little too realistic and get boring to me then lmao.
