found a glitch
after I beat the shadow at the start of diglett cave an then i opened the pokemon menu to look at them. Afterwards, when I closed the menu, I was controlling the shadow and stuck in the room unable to interact with anything. I restarted the game and i was still controlling the shadow. The only way i fixed it was loading a previous saved state i had.

Hello! I'm trying to patch and run this hack, and I cannot seem to find a good FireRed v1.0 ROM to do it with. The one I did find was "cleaned" and didn't work entirely with the patch. Where did you get yours?

We're not allowed to disclose WHERE to get ROMs, but we can give you advice on HOW. You're looking for one named Squirrel.

Heya, I just played through version 1.3e and I think I have "a few" words.

Firstly, dear god this hack needs some serious level curve/grinding balancing, desperately, and especially because it's insanely difficult to guess if you're even going the right way. Second of all, several bugs here and there, most of them due to cutscenes not starting correctly and speaking to NPCs with no dialogue, thus crushing the whole emulator. The other severe problem I found is softlock potential in Deisel City, at least if you don't have anyone who can learn Fly (that is, if you don't forget to pick it up or find it before getting warped there).

I have to say I beat the game thanks to (many) savestates, as well as being able to trade with myself (evolving Knightvern and "cloning" rare candies without using cheats), and I also sequence broke the game by using a Doduo with Run Away, and also being patient enough to try to catch level 100 Pokemon with a Pokeball in Mt Moon (at first just for fun, later becoming a necessity after seeing the IMPOSSIBLE and completely arbitrary level spikes).
When I got into the hide and seek minigame, I skipped all three kids and could battle the main one immediately at the top of the hotel.
The Rocket hideout in the casino leads to exploring the Abyss again and fighting (both) Yaban a second time, and as far as I know, the only solution is to catch them (again), although you can also use an Escape Rope (or Dig) to get out of there.
Also I somehow snuck into the Cycling Road without a bike, lol.

The last two trainers in the Elite Four had some error text, by the way.
Aside from other sprite bugs like the swimmer in Viridian City, there's not much else I can remember.
Spoiler:

Is there a way to enter the SS Anne? (or to actually get Cut/Flash? I think I missed those HMs)
Are the heart-like Pokemon available to catch? (they're so insanely broken, damn)

Quite the edgy story. Kinda feels like Yaban and all the demon stuff doesn't really fit when the story is around Shiki, and the angel stuff had me intrigued, but sadly they aren't on screen for long. Keep up the good work though! It was a fun hack, even if insanely tedious and infuriating in terms of grinding.

no SS Anne in this hack. Shiki will give you the HM cut on entering the other entrance of the Pier.

All of thier stats are maxed out but their speed are decreased. You cannot get them sicne they're not considered as pokemon they're demonic souls/ spirits and only Demon Gods like Shiki have them.

Edit:
Yes the hack has plenty of bugs and softlocks because of the lack of play testing

The last few times I played this game, I would do some edits of my own with the Yet Another Pokemon Editor program. The only real change I did was replacing Poison Sting on Sandshrew/Sandslash with Flame Wheel. My reasoning being the friction build up of them spinning in a ball.

Other than that, I haven't really played this hack in a long time. Mostly cause the Pokemon I could catch early game weren't really worth catching, excluding HM users.

I wonder what the base stats for the starters' Makabre forms are. Are they the same or at least near each other?
And what about Dragoblight? An evolution for a pseudo-legendary must be bonkers lol

(OUTDATED)
three of them have 720 base stats. Sandslash = attack, Victreebell = sp. attack, Crobat = speed. Almost all of them are crazy high over 700 and the highest being Murkrow's which is 850 and the lowest is Kingler's (710). Dragonite's was low (729). The Amalgamations have 800 base stats total. Shadow Legendaries also have over 700 base stats Mewtwo being the highest (844). Finally the 3 craziest dark legendaries that is beyond the shadows (Terrorking, Apocalypse, Groudon V) have over 900 base stats Terrorking being the lowest (900) and Groudon V being the highest (980)(also Yaban's base total stats). Some of them can be good, some of them can be extremely useless, some of them can be crazy broken and can deal extremely high damage, some of them can be pain to deal with, and some can destroy your team in just one move

Got locked by one of the known bugs..I should have read them :( Started over, caught a lvl 99 grumpig in a pokeball, now the fun begins.

hello sir, your idea in this hack is refreshing, certainly some difficult time at first, still a good game
however it is quite hard to find next destination in some scene, like after you reach Vermilion city, should you go through the war trench or go to Cerulean city?
certainly the horrible level of some npc already tells you, yet I still find it confusing.
