I do not know where the Team Aqua/Magma symbols that appear before you battle them are in UNLZ.
I've looked at threads with the numbers for Emerald for UNLZ, but the symbols aren't listed.
I've seen hacks edit the symbols (IE, Pokemon Resolute) but i don't know where to find them myself.

The Aqua symbol tileset can be found at 0x5BAED0, with its tilemap at 0x5BB248. The Magma symbol tileset is at 0x5BB4A4, with its tilemap at 0x5BB930. Both of them share the same pallet at 0x5BAEB0. It should hopefully just be a simple case of inserting/ repointing.

    Kyogre:
    Tileset: 0x5BDB34
    Pallet: 0x5BEDA0 - 0x5BF09F
    Tilemap: 0x5BE1E8

    Groudon:
    Tileset: 0x5BE51C
    Pallet: 0x5BF0A0 - 0x5BF45F
    Tilemap: 0x5BEA88

    Rayquaza:
    Tileset: 0x5BF6A0
    Pallet: 0x5BF4A0 - 0x5BF69F
    Tilemap: 0x5C6BE0

All of the pallets are animated, so they use multiple instances in order to create the flashing effect. They're sequential so its probably easiest to edit them with APE if you want to go that far.

Well that gives me the offsets of the symbols.
But how can I convert the offsets into UNLZ numbers.

Whenever you know where an image has been inserted, you can find them very easily in ulnz. At the top of unlz there's a thing that says "Image Offset" which is giving you the location of the image you're viewing. Everything in unlz goes from the beginning of the ROM to the end, so you only need to jump around until you find an image that is at a nearby offset and then go through the surrounding images one at a time until your offsets match. Just as a warning though, there is a glitch with unlz's UI where the Image Offset doesn't update if you press the 'Previous' button, it will only update of you press 'Next' or 'Goto'. Aside from that hiccup, you should be able to find images pretty quickly.

Anyway, the image/ tilemaps you're looking for are numbers 275 - 278 in a clean Emerald ROM.
