What Pokemon do you think would be at the top of the food chain? What Pokemon do you think would be at the bottom? I'd say most of the weak bug types (Caterpie/Weedle) would be at the bottom because a lot of Pokedex entries seem to mention that small bug type Pokemon are prey.

Expects most dragons to be apex predators.

Glanced at Bulbapedia's page on Pokemon predators and prey. Lists Rattata, Exeggcute, a few bugs, and several unevolved fish Pokemon as prey. Established sea birds as predators of those fish Pokemon. Did not predict Weavile to be such a threat. Brings down Mamoswines (in a pack).

    Other strong possibilities:
    - Talonflame. Attacks other bird Pokemon.
    - Gyarados
    - Dhelmise. Hunts Wailords. Carries a very useful Grass-typing.
    - Golisopod.
    - Sharpedo.

    Other weak Pokemon:
    - Most other bug-types not listed. Points to Kricketot in particular.
    - Jigglypuff. Defends itself by putting others to sleep. Loses in a surprise situation, most likely.
    - Pineco
    - Chansey. Struggles to defend itself.
    - Feebas. Belongs in the unevolved fish category too. Never mentioned it in the Bulbapedia page, though.
    - Ralts
    - Several Grass types, like Sunkern, Oddish, Hoppip, and Bellsprout
    - Morelull and Paras
    - Other beginning mammals (Zigzagoon, Sentret, Bidoof, ...)
    - Azurill and Marill. Lacks the type advantage that other Pikachu clones carry.

Magikarp is probably a contender for weakest mon, as it can't do anything but splash before evolving.
Most dragons are probably top of the food chain.

I once saw an image that listed a bunch of predator/prey relationships:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/9mrq2m/confirmed_pokemon_predator_prey_relationships/
Edit: apparently can't link the image directly =o

It's from a reddit post 3 years ago, so probably outdated. there are still some possible surprises on it though.... I mean, Pineco is apparently a predator for it's prey Cutiefly? =o

Also looked at devalue's link. Rayquaza eats minior? =o

You're probably not going to get a single Pokemon answer for highest or lowest on the food chain, as it's too diverse and even the topmost and lowest spots are each going to have a twenty-five-way tie.

(But the lowest is Sunkern and the highest is Guzzlord.)
