Well, the idea is good ^^
But I don't like more, that the pokémon started was a Latios :S
It is a most powefull pokémon to choose whole started ...

I prefer de tipycal bulbasaur, chramander and squirtel

i dont think legendary pokemon make the best starter's but maybe you can travel through the journey keep on seeing latias and near the end you will be able to catch it .

Hmm maybe you could sprite out something like a baby latios with weaker stats and attack. It could evolve into latios at a higher lvl or something like. Anyways good luck with this.

not exactly a "dark" latios, but with darker features :P

I think you should keep the original starters, but have some event happen right after you get your starter, and have a low-level latios attack you or something, like on route 102 and have it easy to catch or something. Just a quick event with it.

I agree with the idea that it should be a Ruby rom, unless you are going to map an entrie new world. but to do that, you'd need to have a good mapper, or everybody will be able to tell which routes and towns were edited.

and most tools work for both FR/LG and R/S. at least that's what I've found.

Sure thing, that why i posted in the first place :) . Anyways i kinda get the idea of the baby from the movie on latias, latios .

Yea so I will have to finda baby Latios sprite somewhere now... I will be using a ruby rom now so ill change that after school today!

why not make your own sprite? and the baby latios, will it only have two or three stages of evolution?

Most likely just 2 so it evolves into a adult Latios

have you thought as to how the player is going to obtain it? will it be saved from the evil team blue, you catch it in it's weakest state, or someone being chased by Team Blue will dump it off on you, then run away?

Like what everyone else said, having a legendary for a starter isn't such a good idea.
Reminds me of Dragonstone. :\

Anyways, the hack seems to have great potential.
