    Ok I have some questions....
    I am going to start a hack and I don't know what version to hack.
    My ideas are

    or

    so which one should it be?

    Also What should the name of it be?

    Pokemon:Crystalite Version

    Pokemon:Stalagmite Version

    Pokemon:Graphite Version

    Pokemon:Slate Version

    Pokemon:Rubble Version

    Pokemon:Gravel Version

    Pokemon:Boulder Version

    So if you could help me out it would be greatly appriciated!

    FireRed has many extra maps for ya if ya want a hack with a lot of new maps. ^^
    But it's your decision, and we respect your decision, and oh, btw, Emerald, is not a very stable ROM to hack, and if ya want to hack Emerald, be sure to SAVE BACK-UPS often. :D

    Well, the title version depends on the theme of the hack itself, or the story. :)

    Ya I am planning on many more maps....
    So Its clear that I should hack Fire Red...
    Well...
    It has something to do with rocks....
    As you can see with the possible names....

    Hack Emerald! FireRed hacks are getting too old. Plus Emerald already has a phone, berry system and a clock for day-night.

    As for the name, I was really drawn to Slate version, I think it sounds the best.
     
    I agree with the above, as there are so many features which make it better. Also, whoever said that you dont need to start in the truck... -HackMew- created a program called SMCA which allows the changing of the starter map in R/S/E. So personally I would go with Emerald.

    I'll have to wait on more responses but...
    It is sounding promising for Emerald!
     
    I say go Emerald, and just pass the Truck Shaking animation as an Earthquake.

    The Earthquake could also work into the storyline

    It's hard to say. I'd say Pokémon Granite... it's not from the list, but it's similar. And I'd say hack with Fire Red or Ruby, it's hard to choose between those two. Try to keep away from Emerald hacking...

    Why not hack Emerald?

    Anyway,
    Here's the score so far:

    Fire Red:5
    Emerald:4
    Ruby:1
    Rubble:2
    Slate:2
    Granite:1
     
    Well, the reason why you shouldn't hack Emerald is... every few seconds, you have to backup. By that I mean you have to make a copy of Emerald every two seconds. If you don't, it will crash. (Which means either the screen will turn white as soon as you start playing, or the game will restart sometime during gameplay)... So try to keep away from Emerald hacking unless you're super-interested.

    Ah I see!
    Well I wanted to hack Fire red or Emerald because those are the two roms I have!
    Sooooo.....
    I will just wait on some feedback from other poeple...
     
    If ya don't wanna deal with Emeralds unreliability... Go FireRed. It's solid and reliable. Also, if you don't want to bother changing graphics like palletes, FireRed's base graphics are good enough you can use them and still have a nice looking hack. If you ask me, Emeralds Trees look like overgrown shrubs...

    Once I come up with some good storyline,
    And learn how to script,
