The inspiration for this hack is the Shadow of Innsmouth, Call of Cthulhu, and the Mountains of Madness ;3

Can I be a beta tester? Also, a suggestion for a starter is an Eevee that can change forms at will!

That wouldn't be a very good idea...It's not stupid, it just been used so many times before.
 
Some suggestions for starters:
Azurill - Evolves 2 times, just make him abit stringer using PEP and change attacks.
Spheal - Meh?
I think you wanted a Water starter so thats all I can think of.
I like the Poliwag idea, cause you pick to evolve to either Poliwrath or Politoad.​

The Pre-Beta will only get as far as you getting the first Journal page, about 30 minutes of playtime

I'll try and have some screenshots of the main town up by next week.

You can blame the slow progress on the fact that I have some social obligations that I need to fulfill ( Girlfriend, friends, ect ).

You should use a less conventional Pokémon. Poliwag and Horsea are sort of generic in a way. I would use either Staryu or Corphish. Note that these Pokémon all bear three things in common: Water-type, two-stage evolution and they all gain a second type. I would personally choose these two for their stats, which are comparable with ON starters.
 
Heattran your screenies are good but you need to change the tiles because the top part of the house has grass on it.
And people are going to have a lot of trouble on the water starter thing.
My best bet would probably be on corphish krabby and maybe carvhana.

The Tile has already been fixed, but thank you

I really don't know why people have such a problem with Horsea as the starter. So far 19 people have voted for it, so that's what I'm going to go for.
 
Yeh guys, what's wrong with Horsea? Personally, Heatran, I think Horsea is the best choice of starters I have seen so far. I like Horsea, and why don't you guys?

Just to say, I wasn't even thinking about changing the starter. I was really just confused why the heck people didn't want it...
