It has been so long since I have posted in this forum. This is my first serious hack undertaking since the GSC days. And to begin, I'd like to thank Hiroshi for getting me back into hacking and being so patient with all my stupid questions and blunders over MSN. Now! To the preview of my hack, Pokemon: Ominous Sky.

SINC -< Shadow Inc. >-
What is "SINC?" SINC is Shadow Incorporated, my own organization that has many uses. It originated in a chain story based in the Pokemon world and has evolved to my own online company (though nothing legal...yet). It has many different uses including, but not limited to: Pokemon Hacks, Pokemon Fansites, Sprite Comics, Web Comics, and world domination. I am including a section about it in here, as according to the Team forum's rules I need three members to post a thread there (or so I read from them), this is SINC's only public project, and SINC needs help (and another, yet disclosed reason).
Members
Leader - Shadow. AKA Rocket Seviper Shadow. AKA Basmothel Shadethorn.
Honorary Member - Hiroshi Sotomura (For general help and support, webmastery, random assistance, and past beta testing)
Recuiting - SINC currently has recruitment open for Graphic Designers. This includes concept artists, spriters, and tile set makers, or a combination of the three. Please PM me for details regarding recruitment.
Projects- Pokemon - Ominous Sky - A FireRed hack further detailed in this thread. <Progress: See below>

Pokemon - Ominous Sky
Story
On the northern archipelago known as the Grandel Islands begins the journey of an aspiring Pokemon Professor to-be. He visits the local Professor Argan to obtain his Pokedex, to record everything he finds on the varied landscapes of his home islands. He finds Argan's placed ransacked, and the Professor's new Pokedex stolen by a thug. Argan gives the fledgling a brand new Pokemon to track down the crook and return the stolen goods, but what our little scientists finds is a plot much larger than any simple robbery...
Features (Updates indicated by tildas)
*Note: All of these features, and screenshots later on, are not final work and may change, be added to, or completely removed as the hack progresses to a complete project.*- Explore the brand new Grandel Archipelago with many lush and unique environments to explore.
- Work as a Pokemon Scientist and delve into many mysteries of the Pokemon World. This includes the lack of gyms and badges, though the Elite Four are accepting anyone brave enough to challenge them. And do not count various boss fights out of the picture, yet, either.
- Brand new evolutions for many returning Pokemon. Also, existing trade evolutions will be altered to no longer require such things.
- Start with the National Pokedex once you retrieve it, no more waiting for after the Elite Four to catch your favorites. Also many Pokemon appear much earlier then they used to, allowing a new play experience as you can customize your team a lot earlier than in other installments.
- Investigate the villains of the region in a brand new storyline of global proportions.
- ~A starter unlike any others! Castform! Though rumors are that he may be able to evolve in this strange region...~
Screenshots
Spoiler:Snowflower Town
Ah, home sweet home.
The peaceful Snowflower Town...
With a nice, calm lake.
Snowflower Path
True to its name, it snows here, too.
A hedge maze?! I wonder what's in the grass...
Swinub! Such a cute ball of fur!
A fishing ROD? Already?!
I haven't seen this in a while. Maybe there's a reason for its appearance...?
A fierce battle blocks the path!
Icecap
A huge snow-coated mountain on the island...
There's many trainers and traps inside.
The place is cursed! Bring something that can strike Ghosts!
The lower floor is in ruins, which makes a dangerous voyage.
Don't eat the yellow snow! Each floor has a different variety of Pokemon on it!
Ah, the snowy peak, at last!
FAQ (Or rather, a means to prevent frequent questions)
Q: When will it be out?
A: Once it is finished. Not only do I want my work to be as flawless as possible, but I also have a quite busy schedule with work and schoolings (going for Game Design as well, so all my game based ideas aren't only for this hack, but also class work). Also I find myself redoing sections over and over to make them as good as possible.
Q: Are you making new tiles/tilesets/sprites/etc.?
A: Perhaps, but it is not a large concern of mine, at least in comparison to other elements of the hack. It is more of a finishing touch to me, something for once true game play is done. In other words, a hack with bad/standard graphics is playable, yet a hack with bad scripts and balance is not so playable. Oh and I suck at art so bad I can't make a straight line with Photoshop's line tool (well, not really, but you get the idea). Though see the next question if you'd like to help with this.
Q: Are you hiring helpers? / Wanna join my hack team?
A: Short answer: no. Long answer: I may take on a spriter or other graphic designer, but I am not joining any hacking teams or have any plans at the moment to have a true hack team (though this may change). Right now this hack is produced by me, with Hiroshi as support/general help, and a possible artist or two down the line.
Q: I found a glitch!
A: When I release a playable version, there are bound to be glitches as humans make both programs and errors (sadly we can't choose just one…). Just report it in the thread, but if it is in the known glitches section, don't clog up the thread with reposts. Though there is no release yet, so no glitches yet (though if you see an error in a screenshot, feel free to point them out, though they are commonly outdated).
Well, this has been just a preview of a game early in development stages, but I hope you enjoyed and stick with me as this hack progresses. *Takes a bow.*
