Pokemon Riddles

Clefable! Also, Magnezone's typing has never changed, and doesn't evolve...

I need to be traded for in Black and White;
and always know Double Hit.
One of my friends is owned by Dawn;
I bet you expected this line to rhyme w/ the second one.

Wrong-o! Clefable can breed. The proper answer is Nidorina. It evolves into Nidoqueen with a Moon Stone, and it can't breed, whatsoever.

BTW, you gave a tough riddle. But my guess is Ambipom, as it doesn't appear in Black or White, but can be recieved in an in-game trade in Black 2 and White 2. It evolves from Aipom by level-up after learning Double Hit, and Dawn owns an Ambipom.

Evidently I forgot to finish this post.

Ummm, one horned blue genie... Only one I can think of is Thundorus o.O Not sure where the cat part comes in though - still, let me know what it actually was if that's wrong. :P


I've got one.

My species and typing are not unique.
I stick to cave walls when I go to sleep.
I'm simply a klutz, and I'm also unaware,
If you use a fighting type move on me, I wont' really care.

My riddle:

I tend to hang around dark places..
Especially buildings with picture frames..
When they see me, you should see people's faces!
I get hotter and hotter, be careful not to get burned by my flames!

I'd say Venomoth, due to the famous theory of Caterpie being the first Pokémon of Venomoth's evolutionary chain, and Venonat being Butterfree's.

I'm going to guess Scizor, but metagross also has claws, and bullet punch... and KO's fairies easily :1 I think Scizor though.


I got what I think's a good one.


Only one STAB, but pretty fair coverage. With twice as many resistances as I have weaknesses, why wouldn't I love it?
I wield a unique weapon, built into my armor. I can know Megahorn, Fury Cutter and X Scissor - but I wouldn't 'bug' any farmers.
To the metagame I'm not really a vital proponent... But none can say that I'm not a formidable opponent.

The guy who guessed after me actually got it - it was Samurott :3 If you didn't know, look at his dex entries. Samurott is said to have a unique weapon built into his armor, in the sea-matars he wields.

Another one -

It's well known that I'm wild, and I'm hunted as game.
But I'm far from mild, even if my stats aren't insane.
I learn Poison Jab and Knock off by level, even though I have no hands.
I'm a very defiant pokemon, I love to STICK it to the man.

It's immune to poison type, a new Pokemon, you can use it to hold keys to help you get past locked doors, and it has the hidden ability Magician which allows it to take held items

No, Clefairy. The first line alludes to the fact that it was originally planned to be the mascot of the franchise and Ash's first Pokemon. The second to the fact that Pikachu ended up as the favourite and was given it's part in the anime due to a last minute change. The third line refers to Clefairy's recent type change. And the last line again mentions that it was originally the mascot and also references it's gender ratio being skewed towards female
