I'm not sure whether it was brought back a month earlier and the announcement was in fact the crossover but we can always hope for it because to be honest I'm really not looking forward to this spring game and would much much much prefer an R/S remake. Even if it's not which I think might be the case we've still got all of 2012 & 2013 which is a more likely date for them to be announced whether that be before or after Grey.

I really hope that too, they wouldn't say there's a new Pokemon game to be revealed in January Corocoro if it's about Pokemon + nobunga's ambition, instead they would say there will be more information about it in January Corocoro.
Didn't they announce they would be giving information about a new game before Pokemon + nobunga's ambition was announced? If so, of course that is the game they were talking about.

The January issue will be about the crossover, I doubt they would announce a new game right after it. We'll have to wait until April - May to find out what the next main game will be since they usually announce it around there.

I hope it'll be R/S remakes but if it'll be Grey they would "announce" it even earlier - in this Winter, with new form of Kyurem just like they did with new form of Giratina which was revealed in February 2008 and Platinum was officially announced in May 2008.

But because I'd prefer R/S remakes first I'm not looking forward for new Kyurem form in this Winter.

So it makes sense to say that if they won't reveal anything connected to Kyurem in this Winter, chances for R/S remakes are even stronger.

They announced Giratina's new form before Platinum? They may as well of announced the game with it since once they announce an alternate form, its clear a third version is coming lol.

Hopefully they don't reveal Kyurems new form then, because like you said, if they do then its clear that Gray will be the next game.

I think that title is pretty misleading, it wasnt 'officially' hinted at. The two statements could mean anything.

"What mystery is hidden in Kyurem?" - This could be ANYTHING, it seems to me this would have to do more with the plot of the movie.

"Kyurem's unseen power will be revealed!" - This is the closest thing to a hint of a new forme, but doesn't really seem like a big hint to me. It could just be those two moves that are in the game but arent used by Kyurem.

I agree with that. It doesn't exactly say it will be new Kyurem form. It's typical movie promotion.

Also look what they said in that article: "Ruby and Sapphire remakes in 2013 (for their 10th anniversary, like with HG/SS)" OMG, they seem not to even know in what year R/S was released.

Also notice that all not-paired mainstream Pokemon games are the last ones for every platform:
GB - Yellow
GBC - Crystal
GBA - Emerald
DS - should be Grey which means after R/S remakes

So maybe that's the reason why 4 gen is the only gen in which last main games are paired (HG/SS). Because 4 gen shares platform with 5 gen.

Also to make more sales and make people hyped for 3DS R/S remakes and Grey should have some extra features for 3DS.

I just noticed something else, in Pokémon Black & White there is a family very similar to the Winstrate family in Pokémon R/S/E.

The Riches family is the second family to offer their own battle challenge to the player, the first being the Winstrate family in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald.

And also this is probably known to many but Gen III merchandise has been launched selling in Japan, these are by no means confirmation but they are similarities.

"What is the mystery behind Kyurem !?"

"Going to reveal Kyurem's unseen power !!"

I'm still thinking that it doesn't hint about Grey in this year, because R/S remakes should be first.
That article in Corocoro could be hinting to Ice Burn and Freeze Shock attacks for Kyurem. They are hidden in B/W scripts, so they are literally Kyurem's unseen power. I think they will be obtainable from event connected to new movie without releasing Grey. Otherwise why would they leave those moves in B/W ?

Corocoro is acting like we don't know about those hidden moves. If this article was about new form they wouldn't call that "unseen power" because changing form is something that can be seen.

I'm not saying I don't want Grey but it would be nice to release R/S remakes on their 10th anniversary. Another year of delaying them would be not fair for R/S/E fans.

I always find myself listening to remixes of the original tracks from R/S/E (Hoenn) such as HGSS & BW sound front's in fact, I'm listening to one right now and I just think how beautiful they would sound in an actual remake.

Haha wow, that's beautiful. Really the more I hear remixes and soundtracks for these games the more I anticipate remakes. C'mon Nintendo!

Someone on another forum is putting up a good argument as to why Kyurem wont have an alternate forme.

How was it made with a new forme in mind? Think about it - Kyurem represents wuju, which is the absence of Yin and Yang and absolute zero, which is the absence of heat. Thus, Kyurem's design makes perfect sense when you think of it like that and how it relates to Reshiram and Zekrom - Reshiram has the element of Fire which is an ancient symbol of life. Zekrom has the element of electricity, which is a modern symbol of life. Both have the power to give us energy (thus life) and to destroy - like how each individual human has yin and yang. Kyurem, being wuju, has no yin and yang - thus, no energy.

Also, if Kyurem was designed to have an alternate forme, why was it not programmed into Black and White? After all, Meloetta will be released after Grey, so why was Meloetta's other forms included in BW but not Kyurem's? The "Because Kyurem is a version mascot and Meloetta isn't" argument is silly and without foundation - after all, Shaymin wasn't a version mascot and its Sky forme was excluded from Diamond and Pearl - same with Rotom and its forms. GameFreak including Meloetta's Pirouette forme in Black and White is obviously them trying to avoid the compatibility problems that plagued Diamond, Pearl and PBR.

I mean, just because Giratina got a new forme doesn't mean Kyurem will. A pattern isnt a pattern until it happens more than once. I think it may still very well get a new forme, but there was never really much evidence of that. I would love for Kyurem to get a new forme though.

It would be amazing if we could get R/S remakes and Grey this year, but thats unlikely.

The thing is, though, the public knew that the 3DS was incoming well before B/W came out, so it stands to reason that Game Freak would know of its existence even sooner (At least by the start of 2010).

I very much doubt they'd considered any further game development for the DS when games are planned years in advance, so there's no major level of compatibility to shoot for - trying to incorporate anything much more than a time capsule-esque trading ability would be a tremendous hassle because the 3DS is a very different beast to the 8 year old DS.

Game Freak don't have full control over what Pokémon are released when - that three as-yet unrevealed Pokémon have fully functioning evens waiting to be used in normal play probably indicates that they were all included with the intention of being provided to players of B/W at some point depending on what Nintendo and The Pokémon Company decide to do with the larger Pokémon franchise as a whole (See also currently inaccessible Shiny Legends). Take things like the star Pokémon of a movie being something Nintendo can sell tickets to by distrubuting one of the Pokémon you can't yet obtain.

So Grey will be DS, 3DS enhanced and R/S will be 3DS only?

The whole point of new Kyurem's form would be combination of all three dragons. Kyurem represents absolute zero because it was separated from Zekrom and Reshiram. And probably in Grey N will combine them all again to obtain Kyurem's new form which will be symbol of perfect, full energy. That's why assumed Kyurem's stone is called God Stone because it will be perfect dragon.

BTW Old Kyurem is just too ugly to be a mascot lol.
