Didn't see a thread about this, so if this isn't allowed/if there's one already, feel free to close.
Anyway, what does everyone here think about the latest Pokemon Smash?
Things revealed in the 7-20 Smash:
-Fishing returns
-Honedge can learn Aerial Ace and Shadow Sneak
-Octillery (and to a lesser extent, Remoraid) may be in the Kalos Dex
-Inkay is found in an island somewhere in Kalos
-Fletchling can learn Tackle (not notable, but still...)
-Rock Smash rocks return
May we see the footage, please?
Do you think that we will be able to move with both the circle pad and the D-pad?
I'm not so sure on that point; I mean, couldn't GameFreak assign some menu shortcuts or game functionality to each of the Control Pad's four directions? If they don't, though, I assume they will simply let players use either control method…
Anyway; it's nice to see they're taking advantage of the space in double battles. Has it been confirmed that triple/rotation battles will return, or?
Speaking of triple battles, has anybody else had the thought that GameFreak could accommodate six-player multiplayer with mixed triple battles? Personally, I think that these might be nice to have.
The running reminds me of the Gamecube games. So it doesn't really matter to me. I just hope running shoes is a one click thing where you don't have to hold a button down, like in HGSS.
Ah, the nostalgia of
Pokémon Colosseum…anyhow,
HeartGold and
SoulSilver actually had an icon on the touch screen that players could tap once to lock in place even though they could still tap and hold either it or the B button, remember?
And I'm hoping the games will have almost little-to-no requirements for HMs like what was in 5th Gen. Black/White and Black 2/White 2 did a really good job at not putting that many HM roadblocks in the main story.
I'm not sure about that…I mean, I actually
like having to blast through environmental obstacles, especially when these objects are hiding something that is at least partially important to the game. As such, GameFreak had better replace the 'Hidden Move' concept with an expanded version of the 'Field Move' concept that already exists in such a way that this expansion allows Pokémon to use their natural talents, moves, and abilities to replicate the powers previously imbued to them by HMs.
Rock Smash had a cool use in HGSS, although it was also annoying and luck based.
And what, pray tell, was that special use again? For the life of me, I can't even
begin to remember what it was…
Yup but there was also the Lapras sprite and the Seel/Dewgong sprite. It would look weird if any of these made a return. The only thing i see them doing is change the shadow size based on how big the Pokemon is.
That might be a reasonable fix…
