I feel like the current has become a bit more appropriate for the seemingly maturing storyline...

I agree with that... I really like how Yamamoto draws the eyes, too... especially Platina's. It makes her unique and apart from her game/anime counterparts.

man mato's art work was so funny and really simple and suited the first 2 arcs because they were little kids but Yamamoto's art is great the battles,the dramatic scene he really has a great style

I do agree...Mato's artstyle was appropriate for the beginning. While Yamamoto's is apropriate for the current mature artcs. ^_^

Hmm...It's just sad that I haven't been active here much. I'll try my best to do so. Too bad my HS blocks off most of the Pictures here, so I can't comment on some of the fanart. =/
Also I do apologize for not knowing people here very good and cannot comment on which characters you guy's are close to. T_T

Oh wow... this makes me really miss MATO's artwork... so simplistic and yet evocative.

Yeah, but I really like the change, like Royal Genesis said, it's appropriate. Strangely enough, that artwork fit, because of their age and how simplistic it was.

With FR/LG, I can definitely see the change, especially the eyes. For some reason, it's standing out more in this arc than the other ones. I don't know why.

Yeah the eyes have been certainly more emphasized in Yamamoto's style. As I said, I love it. XD

Yellow sure is much cuter in FR/LG. Well, in another way. In the early series (with Mato's design) she (he XD) looks as she (he?) should look, she looks like she acts. But when they all grow older, it's indeed fitting with a more... well, elegant style.
Yamamoto also added the "right" colors to each character's eyes ^^

I never gave it much thought, so I have no opinion. I do love the R/S saga, so I suppose Yamamoto (is that who did R/S?) is pwnsome, but I still love the original R/B/G and Yellow sagas...

Wah, need Ruby fan art so I can squeeze him DX Pika's in that sort of mood.

Wasn't it Baa obsessed with him? But yeah, I like him too ^^ He's... my fifth fave of the main PokeSpecial characters, but only 'cause I don't know much about him yet ^^ Blue comes before him, and I'm sure you can figure out the other three ;D

And he has a Chimchar *squees* I started with Chimchar in Pearl, my first DS game ever ^^ Oh, and he has a Chatot, too. Chatter is so fun to mess with XD

Geez, except for Green, you have the same lineup for my fave main PokeSpecial guys X_X Ruby's first (then Yellow), then Silver (and then Blue), and at last Pearl/Jun. Idk why, but he just seems so kawaii~

Yet the site that has all the Ruby pics doesn't have any/many Pearl pics, as far as I can tell >.> It has Platina and Dia, but no Pearl.
