I translated the blurbs on the profiles roughly:

Spoiler:

Gold:
Trainer from Johto with a rude mouth and a warm heart. In the past, as a dex holder, he completed his mission in defeating the masked man.
He has little common sense and does as he pleases. Even though others have said he was a "selfish brat" and "frivolous one", he won't ignore people and pokemon in trouble. Because he has a lot of pokemon at home, it was called "The Pokemon House". As a dex holder, his ability is the "hatcher".

Crystal:
A trainer who, as a professional pokemon catcher, was hired by Professor Oak in completing the pokedex. Her ability is the "catcher". She has a caring and kind nature. While she had been working wholeheartedly as a volunteer at Mr. Jobani's Pokemon hostel, she can also lead a team of pokemon and capture those she targets. She now works at Professor Oak's research lab as an assistant.

Ruby:
A dex holder who had conquered all the contest halls in Hoenn. His hometown is in Johto but he moved with his mother when his gym leader father was assigned to Hoenn. While he was on his mission to conquer the contests, Hoenn encountered unforseen dangers and he was involved in the battling even though he disliked it. The battle sense he inherited from his father, Norman, is authentic. (But even now, his belief that "beauty is my religion" has not changed.)

Sapphire:
The daughter of Professor Birch, a pokemon researcher who specializes in fieldwork. In helping her father with research, she had been living in the wild, and has been gifted with the power of nature. She has senses of sight, hearing, and smell that surpasses normal humans. She has vast knowledge about berries, and could tell a pokemon's health conditions from the smell of its droppings. While on her way to conquer all the gyms as a bet, she knew about the reawakening of the ancients and fought together with Ruby to restore peace. Although she seems like a wild child, she actually has a very girlsh heart.

Silver:
A mysterious trainer who searches for his own path. Since being captured in his childhood by the masked man, he knew little about his past. Though that was remedied somewhat by finally meeting his father, Giovanni, again.
He is good at battling, due to his highly specialized training. He also possesses the knowledge about "exchanging" pokemon, so his ability as a dex holder is the "trader". He has a strong mind due to his harsh past experiences which allows him to face anything. (rough translation >< since I'm not too sure what the last part is saying)

But I guess I'm not adequate enough to scan anything since Dai had scanned some. Either way, the only person who even bothers to keep me or my posts from being ignored is Pikataro.

I've been thinking of writing a fanfic with the same story as the manga, but with the main characters' genders switched around ^^ Maybe some other characters as well, or maybe all characters in the whole manga... THEN you'll see that there really are more MALES than FEMALES in the real story :<

Woow, what's this? Don't you dare to leave the club ;) I read everyone's posts (it takes some time, but that's the thing when you join this club XD) so including yours. I'm sure everyone else does too. But the club's growing very fast these days, so perhaps that's the reason why you feel things have changed. Oh i now remember why i started reading the manga. Maybe everyone else can post there reasons?
I heard lance was all bad and evil and that pokemon where killed. Im like sweet got to read it. So i read on and nothing that intresting. Then things start heating up then i hit the yellow series and im like damn i love it. Ever since then i read the manga thining how gay the show is.
